A Detective on the Sixth-Decade Liaison Route

When Wang Jingyun woke up, she discovered she'd become a high school student in the 1960s, fired up with youthful zeal and joining a student travel group against her family's wishes.

She calculated the dates and realized that the Down to the Countryside Movement was about to begin.

With an older sister and a younger brother at home, her future prospects looked grim, so she promptly decided to take a train back home.

But when she said she wanted to return, her classmates told her that during the student travel campaign, they could use their student IDs to get free food and lodging, and ride trains for free.

After spending ten years as an overworked office drone in her previous life and dying suddenly without ever getting to travel anywhere, Wang Jingyun promptly changed her mind:

"It's not that I care about traveling for free. I mainly want to admire our country's magnificent landscapes, so I can contribute more to building the nation in the future."

Before boarding the train, Wang Jingyun expected to eat well, drink well, and enjoy the scenery along the way.

But after getting off the train and checking into a hostel, one of the students in her group unexpectedly died.

Drawing on all the detective novels and crime shows she'd devoured in her previous life, and wanting to clear herself of suspicion, Wang Jingyun jumped straight into the case.

After the hostel's locked-room murder came a body dumped in the wilderness on a snowy night, then a family massacre on New Year's Eve...

As one murder after another was solved, Wang Jingyun gradually became a teenage detective famous throughout the country.

Before the student travel campaign had even ended, police stations across the country were vying to recruit her.

Wang Jingyun: "Huh? I've already got a secure government job?"
