Arranged Marriage in the 1970s

Su Lin and Yan Sheng were forced into an arranged marriage.

Before they became husband and wife, they were strangers, and their upbringings could not have been more different.

She grew up in the city, with loving parents and a happy home. Although the political upheaval kept her from finishing high school, she smoothly took over a job and had a stable position. Her life went smoothly.

He came from the countryside. His father died young, and his mother remarried. As far back as he could remember, he had helped his family earn work points, until he was selected for military service and finally got a chance to change his fate.

So, while he was alive, they rarely had any sweet moments.

He always complained that she was spoiled, fussy, and full of rules. She always said he was careless, rough around the edges, and full of bad habits.

There were many model couples in the family compound, but they weren't among them. Everyone even thought they were a bad example, and that their marriage was nothing more than making do.

For a time, she thought so too.

But after he died, she could never stop remembering the good things about him:

He clumsily learned to cook for her, and warmed her feet in the bitter winter...

Late at night, he held her and confessed his love, saying she could only ever be his wife.

Yet the note he left her said: I hope someone will stay by your side for the rest of your life.

Reborn once more, Su Ting returns to the second year of their marriage.

She has not yet lost him, nor has she lost their child in an accident.
