The Detective Still Doesn't Know His Childhood Friend Is the Mafia Heiress

Kudo Shinichi had a childhood friend.

She was cute and cheerful, the sort of girl children loved. But she had a scary-looking, dark-clad father and two equally dark-clad older brothers who kept interrupting their playtime.

But Kudo Shinichi knew they were just elders who doted on her. Even though his father said her family was unfathomable, he happily stuck with her from kindergarten all the way through elementary school.

His childhood friend seemed to attract trouble, though. Her kindergarten was closed for renovations the day after a kidnapping, and during a summer trip, she encountered robbers and fell off a cliff.

Treasure hunts, murder cases, kidnappings, and bombs kept cropping up, but Jiujiu always handled them perfectly. Kudo Shinichi thought he must have found his very own Watson.

He thought they'd spend middle and high school together and become a famous detective duo in the police force, until one day his childhood friend went abroad!!!

When his childhood friend returned to Japan to continue her studies, Kudo Shinichi's shrunken little hands trembled. He didn't dare touch the hem of her skirt.

His childhood friend was pure, lovely, gentle, and harmless. Kudo Shinichi couldn't drag her into the filthy depths.

"That girl's father looks like a man of unfathomable depths. Shinichi, remember not to get curious about the secrets behind him."

"Kudo, can't you feel it? She has an aura like the Organization's. Only people who live in the dark can sense it."

Everyone who met her left him with a warning, as though he might fall into the abyss if he let his guard down for even a moment.

His childhood friend seemed rather different from how he remembered her. She was quick on her feet and sharp-minded, the undeniable center of attention.

Kudo Shinichi tried to prove his childhood friend's innocence, only to discover her getting into a familiar black Porsche, with a familiar silver-haired man dressed in black standing beside her.

During the final battle with the Black Organization, bullets skimmed past him, turning into petals that filled the sky.

The sharply dressed girl grabbed the boy by the collar and fired back at a member of the Organization.
