■ Beloved by all | Feel-good power fantasy | Healing and redemption | Passionate ensemble cast | Fighting violence with violence
One day, Le Fu woke up to the truth.
The world she lived in was actually a passionate ensemble comic called White Society.
As the old society gave way to the new, the people in charge were rotten, social order had crumbled, and the plutocrats held sway.
Then an organization called “W” appeared out of nowhere.
Preaching that violence should be met with violence to rid the people of evil, they secretly eliminated the “suspects” in several high-profile cases, plunging society into terror and chaos.
The elite protagonists joined forces and ultimately crushed the self-proclaimed righteous villains, establishing a new society free of crime, where fairness and justice prevailed.
The ideals were right, the goals were right, but this faction…
They’d picked the completely wrong side!
How could a fledgling company with only five employees be the villains’ lair? That made no sense!
Le Fu fumed helplessly: If someone had told me that “cracking down on crime” meant taking down my own people, I wouldn’t have been so tempted by this job with its nine-to-five hours, no time clock, weekends off, full benefits, four weeks’ bonus pay, easy workload, great salary, fancy afternoon tea, and a boss and coworkers who were out of the office all day!
…All right, it was hard not to be tempted.
But who could have guessed
Her aloof, cold coworker, who warmly called her “little sister,” was a crack shot with a sniper rifle.
Her fashionable coworker, who loved telling cheesy jokes to make her laugh, was a high-IQ criminal who looked down on everyone.
Her honest, good-natured, hulking coworker, who always did whatever she asked, was a ruthless killer.
And the gentle boss who brought her gifts every time he came back from a “business trip” was actually the mastermind who founded the villain organization.
As for her, the rumors said she was
“Always using her innocent, kind appearance to lure people into traps.”
“Her death directly caused the villain organization to fall apart.”
“The mastermind lost the will to fight and shot himself.”
“The most dangerous core member of the entire organization.”
…
Le Fu took a long sip of milk tea. “Huh? Me?”
-
“Hello, this is White Society.”
“Any problem you can’t solve, we’ll solve for you.”
