I've lost my memory.
When I opened my eyes, everything felt unfamiliar.
Still, the architecture was magnificent and beautiful, the judge was gorgeous, and the blue-haired young lady on the raised platform nearby was quite something, too.
The atmosphere around me was pretty lively, with a little bickering, but overall I'd give it a 9.9.
Wait. A judge?
The handsome judge, his expression solemn, lowered his gaze to look at me.
As I stared at him in confusion, he said gravely:
"According to the verdict issued by the Oratrice Mecanique d'Analyse Cardinale, Arsphalia is guilty. She is sentenced to one hundred years of imprisonment, to be served at the Fortress of Meropide."
I blinked, turned to the guy beside me who seemed to be my lawyer, and asked:
"Who's Arsphalia?"
He smiled at me innocently. "You are."
Oh, me.
Huh?
Wait, what? Me?
I'm the incredibly unlucky person sentenced to a hundred years, which is basically life imprisonment? Me?
No, please, Your Honor! I'm innocent! I don't want to go to the Fortress of Meropide!

I sat on the wooden bed in my cell and scribbled in the diary that had just appeared out of thin air:
Year a, month b, day c. I was imprisoned today.
The Fortress of Meropide feels pretty comfortable. The kids love the food, and it's suitable even for sensitive skin (crossed out).
Apparently, there's a proper daily routine, regular meals, and all kinds of light labor to keep you fit.
The handsome guy in the next bed even has gray highlights in his hair. All in all, not a bad deal.
I finished the last line and, once again, thought to myself, "Who writes in a diary, anyway?" Then the diary flipped through its pages by itself, revealing one that I could never open before.
"Year x, month x, day x.
I killed 1,734 people today.
A layer of black blood congealed on my scabbard. When I washed my blade by the sea, I stained the water black."
I compared the handwriting to what I'd just written. Two seconds later, I snapped the diary shut.
Thanks, but no thanks. Life imprisonment sounds great. I don't want to be executed just yet.
I forced a smile.
Hewwo, Your Honor! Who was I before I lost my memory? (Crossed out.) Was I even human before?!

After countless hard and heartbreaking days, I turned down the handsome cellmate's invitation to "make the Fortress of Meropide bigger and better and promote the prison's development in every way," and escaped.
I ordered a delicious coffee at a cafe and hummed a little tune to celebrate my successful escape. As I casually wrote "I'm free!" in my diary, it turned to another page on its own.
"Year xx, month xx, day xx.
I took thirty billion Mora from Pantalone (bad dog!) (crossed out). He said I'd be done for when he found you. I told him, 'Sorry, but I'd already cleaned out your other vault, too.'
P.S. Here's a portrait of that bad dog's beautiful, wicked, gorgeous face.
Artist: ta-da! Teyvat's first witness, adventurer, and boss of the cats and dogs: Arsphalia!"
I skipped my pre-amnesia bragging, spent two seconds admiring the bad dog's dazzling beauty, then compared him to the man who had just sauntered over and sat across from me.
Under his warm smile, which carried twelve parts coldness and ill intent, I silently closed the diary again.
Question: Is it too late for me to go back to the Fortress of Meropide?

I repent. I am guilty.
Based on the "criminal record" in my diary, I offer the following self-criticism.
I shouldn't have secretly touched Morax's dragon horns before I lost my memory. I shouldn't have pretended to fight Xiao while actually stealing his feathers. I shouldn't have rolled the little qilin into a ball and pushed it through the flower fields...
(There are too many crimes to list. To be continued...)
