After Breaking Up with Furuya, I Ran Off Pregnant

Fujimori Terutsuki sometimes brings her daughter to the police headquarters.

The little girl has long black hair, grayish-purple eyes, and a healthy fair complexion. She's very well-behaved, never making a fuss, and happily turns the pages of her picture books.

She only speaks up when it's time to go home, reaching her arms toward her mother and asking to be carried.

None of Fujimori Terutsuki's colleagues have any objections to her daughter.

She works in administration and isn't involved in classified assignments. She's highly capable, and in four years she hasn't made a single mistake. The boyfriend she loved dearly has passed away, and this child is her only comfort.

Not a single colleague, including Kazami, objects to Fujimori Terutsuki's daughter.

Actually, he's a little afraid of her, afraid enough that he can't bring himself to meet her eyes.

...Doesn't this little girl's face look a bit like Mr. Furuya's?!

Furuya had an ex-girlfriend. They had a fight, lost contact, and broke up abruptly.

After starting work, he looked up her publicly available internal personnel file, telling himself it was just a way to get to know a colleague.

“She has a daughter with her late boyfriend.”

Oh.

He was still alive.

There was no way the child could be his.

tips:

1. This is a fictional story. It's a melodramatic, old-school run-away-with-the-baby romance, so please don't relate it to real life.

2. Zero pairing, one-on-one, happy ending.

3. Terutsuki only took on the responsibility of raising the child after confirming that she could afford it, wanted to do it, and could manage without it affecting her work. In principle, I don't recommend that the average Earth-online player take on the unwed-motherhood-and-running-away-with-the-baby side quest. The difficulty is genuinely high.
