Passionate Love

[A little melodramatic romance for a change of pace. I'm working on my completed manuscript, Retiring from the Circle and Getting a Real Job, while also putting in overtime, so I can't promise daily updates.]

[My upcoming novel, Two Days and Three Nights, is open for follows. Hope you'll add it to your collection!]

Synopsis:

Fu Xinyi's first confession to Gu Nonghua came at a welcome party.

Tipsy, she said, "Has anyone ever told you before? You're really good-looking."

The fragrance of fruit wine mingled with his quickening heartbeat. It was the perfect atmosphere for a kiss.

Gu Nonghua held back and didn't cross the line.

Her second confession came on an utterly ordinary afternoon, when Fu Xinyi gave him a rose.

Gu Nonghua almost confessed to her then and there, but he still managed to hold himself back.

After her third confession, Fu Xinyi asked, hurt, "So you don't like me after all?"

Gu Nonghua gritted his teeth until they ached, then nodded with difficulty.

.

Gu Nonghua had seen Fu Xinyi date his friends.

When she was in a good mood, she'd compliment them on their looks and give them roses.

When she was in a bad mood, she'd ask them with wounded eyes whether they didn't like her.

He thought Fu Xinyi would have more than those few tricks up her sleeve when it came to him. Surely she'd try something new.

But it was the same old routine, with nothing new at all.

So Gu Nonghua decided to turn down Fu Xinyi's confession.

Until she could truly see him for who he was, instead of treating him like a plaything she could flirt with and discard, one of many she could find anywhere.

Notes:

1. Nonghua means luxuriant, beautiful flowers.

2. The female lead is not a virgin; the male lead is.

3. The friend Gu Nonghua mentions in the synopsis really is Fu Xinyi's ex-boyfriend.

4. This is a sweet romance with a hint of bittersweetness. It follows two ordinary people falling in love, not two perfect beings, so please keep in mind that neither the heroine nor the hero is perfect.
