The Millennium's Number One Special Effects Studio

Millennium-era alien baddie x frustrated artsy guy who's a mother hen

Andi, an Antimony native, had her spaceship swallowed by an interstellar wormhole until not even a speck remained. When she woke up, she had arrived on Blue Star in the year 2000.

The technology here lagged behind that of her planet, but its culture, history, art, and entertainment opened her eyes.

Andi immediately settled in and forgot all about going home.

Not long after she got used to her surroundings, someone suddenly showed up and told her she might be the illegitimate daughter of a big-shot businessman.

Sorry, not interested. She had so many books to read, songs to listen to, and movies to watch that she simply didn't have the time.

Wait, you say the big shot makes movies?

Then what are we waiting for? She's off to get a DNA test and claim her father!

The good news: Andi was successfully acknowledged by her father.

The bad news: This was merely part of his ruthless succession battle as he expanded his business empire.

Andi only got a special-effects company on the verge of bankruptcy.

The company didn't have a single employee, and even the computers had been taken to pay off its debts!

Andi took a look around and said it was no big deal.

Special effects? How hard could it be?

That's what she used to do back on Antimony!

Timeline without Andi

In the new millennium, Liu Huai carried his script from one producer's office to another, knocking on dozens of doors. Not one opened for him.

Fifteen years later, his script was sold to a North American film studio. Production wrapped the following year, and audiences in Huaxia watched while cursing, then cursed while watching, as it raked in a staggering 600 million at the global box office in its opening week.

Liu Huai never lived to see that day and couldn't stand up to say a word about his own work.

Timeline with Andi

Liu Huai's first impression of Andi: Where'd this mixed-race starlet come from?

Liu Huai's second impression of Andi: She must be some rich girl here for fun.

What Liu Huai would call Andi later: Special-effects boss! Rendering queen! Wife, come cuddle!
