Zhu Fan x Luo Yin
#01
On Luo Yin’s first day back in Luocheng, the rich kids threw a lavish welcome party for the illegitimate son they had once looked down on, who had fought his way back from exile overseas.
“Who’s that?” Zhu Fan asked, noticing the man surrounded by people at the center of the drinking table.
The buttons of his black shirt were undone down to his collarbone, and a pair of rimless glasses hung loosely at his neckline. His striking brow and easygoing demeanor drew people’s attention.
Drink after drink, and Zhu Fan never saw him stop.
The pretty girl beside him nestled against his arm, whispering right by his face the whole time and feeding him drinks. The man accepted everything, yet showed no sign of getting drunk despite drinking so much.
“You don’t know him!?” her friend exclaimed, staring at Zhu Fan. “He’s your boyfriend’s younger brother.”
In the darkness, Zhu Fan fixed her gaze on the center of attention in the crowd.
The beautiful woman curled her lips into a smile and silently swirled the wine in front of her. An unusual light flickered in her eyes.

When Luo Yin went to deliver something to Luo Changfan, he accidentally stumbled upon quite a scene.
Luo Changfan was having a fierce argument with his girlfriend, though it was all one-sided. She didn’t say a word the entire time.
At the very end, she only said, “Don’t make me say something nasty and disgust you. Let’s part on good terms.”
She’s got quite a temper.
Luo Yin, standing on the other side of the door, couldn’t help raising an eyebrow.
#02
There was a well-known rumor at Luoda University.
Zhu Fan and Luo Yin were famous for not getting along. One was a cool, taciturn bartender who mixed drinks at the bar by the school gate. The other was the seemingly gentle and sunny young master of the Luo family, always the subject of gossip.
Even when they hosted an event together, neither would respond to the other.
Many people guessed it had something to do with Zhu Fan being Luo Yin’s “former sister-in-law.”
Little did they know that in the empty waiting room that day,
Luo Yin had rudely snatched Zhu Fan’s script and met the girl’s unruffled gaze.
“Are you playing me?”
#03
Recently, something had happened in Luocheng’s rich-kid circle that everyone loved to gossip about.
The illegitimate son acknowledged by the Luo family had started dating his half-brother’s ex-girlfriend, and even broken his rule of never getting attached to anyone despite being surrounded by beautiful women.
The discussion went on without end. Luo Changfan even called Luo Yin.
“Did you fucking steal my girl?”
The man deliberately leaned down to Zhu Fan, who lay beneath him with her eyes slightly unfocused.
“She can’t leave me. What can I do?”
Luo Changfan’s curses came through the phone receiver.
Luo Yin couldn’t be bothered with him. He tossed the phone aside and gently stroked the back of Zhu Fan’s neck as she arched it. “I love you so much, Zhu Fan. What about you?”
Zhu Fan could even hear the grit in his voice. Smiling brightly, she kissed Luo Yin. “Of course I do too.”
The next day, Luo Yin saw that his back had been scratched to shreds.
“If your claws are too sharp, you need to keep them trimmed,” he said as he buttoned his shirt.
Zhu Fan pretended not to hear what he really meant, meeting his eyes in the mirror.
“Talking too much about certain things ruins the fun, doesn’t it?”
Luo Yin lifted his eyes to look at her. “That mouth of yours is better suited to moaning in bed.”

On the night everything was settled, Zhu Fan waited to leave the city that had once buried all her pain and hatred, her suitcase in hand.
A sharp pain struck her neck. The last thing Zhu Fan remembered before closing her eyes was Luo Yin’s emotionless, peach-blossom eyes.
Luo Yin recalled something someone had said to him years ago: “If you like her, stop seeing her, or she’ll hate you one day.”
Luo Yin pressed his burning cheek against Zhu Fan’s sleeping face and murmured, “I can’t turn back now.”
Important notes:
1. Everyone has some moral flaws. They are not perfect tools for the plot.
2. An implausible urban story set in an alternate world, detached from reality, with tons of invented details. Everything serves the plot.
