/A sharp-tongued, self-respecting heiress x a double-standard, straightforward, brilliant cool guy
Shen Xiyu x Liang Qi
["Those who rely on others will surely encounter misfortune."]
#01
At the school sports meet.
Someone deliberately tripped Shen Xiyu, and everyone around them wondered why Liang Qi, who usually fiercely protected his own, was doing nothing.
"Wait and see. She won't want anyone helping her right now."
Sure enough, the girl on the track struggled to her feet.
Ignoring the large scrape on her leg, she ran with all her might. The crowd cheered as she crossed the finish line.
Shen Xiyu's eyes sparkled, her whole being radiating an irrepressible refusal to lose. She looked scornfully at the person who had tripped her.
"You couldn't beat me even with a dirty trick like that?"
What she hadn't expected was to see a tall figure standing at the finish line, silhouetted against that day's dazzling sunlight. At the sight of him, Shen Xiyu finally let go of all her strength and slumped into Liang Qi's cool embrace.
I understand your pride and stubbornness.
So I'll always wait for you at the finish line.
#02
The first summer after Liang Qi left. A friend overheard some people discussing Shen Xiyu in the restroom.
"Without Liang Qi, she's nothing."
"But Liang Qi is the real social outcast, isn't he? Have you heard..."
Her friend couldn't take it anymore and was about to step in.
Then they turned around.
Shen Xiyu stopped them. Nobody knew how long she'd been listening. After holding her friend back, she picked up a mop bucket.
"Splash!"
The foul-smelling mop water drenched them.
The girl raised her eyes and regarded the two without a trace of emotion. "Who do you think you are, judging me? Or him?"
#03
At a drinking party for their long-awaited reunion.
Liang Qi never thought there'd be a day when someone would have to introduce him and Shen Xiyu to each other. No one at the table knew her better than he did.
After several rounds of drinks,
Shen Xiyu crouched in a corner and cried in secret. She was drunk, and she remembered that she had once had someone very important who was now missing.
When Liang Qi came out, he saw this heartbreaking scene.
He crouched down to meet Shen Xiyu's eyes and brushed aside the hair stuck to her face with tears. His expression was just as it had been back then. "Did someone bully you, Shen Xiyu?"
Thinking she was seeing someone from a dream, she fought to hold back her tears. Eyes red, she reached out and slapped the person before her hard across the face.
"How dare you come back? You hadn't even learned how to love back then, and you still dared to say you'd teach me?"
/We'll walk through the "narrow gate" together.
/A romance between a bossy girl (not really) and a cool guy (not really).
/School life in the first half, city life in the second. A small ensemble cast, mutual feelings, and two top students.
Important notes:
1. The heroine is somewhat avoidant and a little awkward about romance.
2. Other than the leads, the main cast has no other romantic storylines (though perhaps there is one very subtle unrequited crush?).
3. This departs from reality and includes a wealth of invented details, especially regarding the hero's competitions and career. Everything serves the story.
The third book in the series, Are You Drunk?, is currently being serialized~
Is My Lover Dead? is in my author page. Please add it to your reading list~
Theme: Love life
🙏 Do you have a Weibo? I really like this story. I want to know if there will be extra chapters in the future. 😭
"Shen actually knows that Chen Ningzhou and the others..." This is a big bug for the author~ Shen Xiyu knows (probably because the words are missing)
"After she came out, she habitually squatted..." This is a big bug for the author~ Zhang Weifang
Yo yo yo, "Tell me about it, okay?" 😏 😏 😏
Does the male protagonist have an ex who was his first love, Bai Yueguang?
When it is divided into paragraphs, it must be a sentence, not a comma.
The author doesn't even know how to use punctuation. It's so uncomfortable to read. The end of a sentence is a period, and then basically all commas. Is the author a junior high school student? [Crack][crack][crack][crack][crack]
Watching, watching!!! Damn, I'm from Jiangsu too!!! [Orange Candy] Got it
I saw that the author wanted to comment, but the plot was too flat and there was no emotional progression. The interaction between the male and female protagonists was not very attractive, and there were no interesting points to discuss. It really did not inspire the desire to comment.
"Go around behind Qin Yiyi and pour a neckful of snow into his neck." Catch a big bug for the author~
