Zhao Yuesheng

X

Zhou Rutong

Zhao Yuesheng was originally the “princeling's study companion” for Zhou Rutong's son, who was studying abroad. Quiet and hardworking, he had so little presence he seemed like dust clinging to a swamp. He was right there beside people, yet somehow seemed not to exist at all.

He wasn't part of the main family, wasn't from a wealthy family, and never got involved in anything outside Zhou Rutong's son's studies. He'd only been transferred into the son's care so he could continue his education.

It was astonishing that someone like him would one day suddenly and resolutely give up the studies he was meant to continue.

Zhou Rutong's son still cared about his “study companion” and went to find his father in the middle of the night. Only then did the name Zhao Yuesheng, and Zhao Yuesheng himself, truly come to Zhou Rutong's attention for the first time.

The history of the Zhou family, kings of the shipbuilding industry, was glorious and grand. Zhou Rutong, who looked gentle and refined yet had delicate, cool features, was the one at the helm of the Zhou family's power, “Mr. Tong.”

Zhao Yuesheng would never forget that winter. The head of the Zhou family, a man from the Honglan Special Zone, calmly walked up to him and told him in an ordinary tone that settling a minor squabble between younger people was simply an elder standing up for the younger generation, nothing worth mentioning. It made him burst into tears.
