Zhou Yexing is a poverty-alleviation official who accidentally transmigrates to another world and is forced to bind himself to a World-Saving System.
Save the world? Looking at the devastation all around him, he decides to start by alleviating poverty.
Develop local specialties to suit local conditions, educate everyone and eradicate illiteracy, help the poor become prosperous, promote science and technology across the board, and ensure access to healthcare…
The System watches its Host stray further and further from the original theme while completing every task along the way…and silently shuts up.
Others: “Light God above, bestow your light upon us!”
Zhou Yexing: “Let’s learn about electromagnetic induction and the heating effect of electric current. Hmm, want an incandescent bulb?”
Others: “Harvest Goddess above, grant us a bountiful harvest!”
Zhou Yexing: “Study your chemistry. How about learning the right ratios of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizers, and compound fertilizer?”
Others: “Dark God, descend and punish the unfaithful!”
Looking at the handsome man before him, Zhou Yexing: “…Wait, why is there actually something here that defies science?!”
The System says meekly, “I told you from the start that this is a magical world, a reality shaped by belief.”
Alos: “Then what purpose do I serve?”
Zhou Yexing: “Automated irrigation? Converting light energy into kinetic energy? Recycling nonrenewable resources? …Um…being essential to the plot?”
PS: A few things to note:
1. Everyday farming, cooking, poverty relief, and wooing the love interest (?). The pace is fairly slow at first, and the love interest gets relatively little page time early on.
2. My own mash-up of a magical otherworld.
3. There may be factual errors in the book’s descriptions of growing crops, cooking, and infrastructure, including seasons, yields, and properties. I haven’t tried these things myself, so please bear with me. Treat this as a mindless web novel, don’t scrutinize its poverty-relief or farming knowledge. I’m on my knees here.
4. Besides the main couple, there are several side couples, with a slight ensemble-cast feel.
Finally, I’m begging you to add this to your collection _(:з"∠)_ (hugs and kisses the lovely readers)
Coming soon (please add to your collection):
The Interstellar Empire’s Number One Fruit and Vegetable Seller
The newly crowned Elven King, Xiloy, is fleeing with the sacred Mother Tree when he unfortunately falls into a rift in space and time, landing in the interstellar era. It’s a strange world. They clearly have magic, but call it psychic power; they have gigantic mechanical puppets, but call them mechs; and they have an advanced species with wings much like elves, but call them Zerg, and humans despise and hate them…
Xiloy looks at his beautiful wings. This…looks like the description of an advanced Zerg…This is bad. Humans mustn’t find out…
Elves have a powerful ability to make plants grow, so Xiloy starts selling fruit and vegetables. He never expected his produce to cure all kinds of psychic disorders, sparking a craze throughout the Empire. Everyone is searching for the healing master, while Xiloy worries that his “Zerg” identity will be discovered and scurries from place to place in hiding.
Shen Hui’s consciousness awakens. He discovers that he’s merely the protagonist in an angsty novel, a gifted martial artist whose extraordinary talent was crippled, tormented in body and mind by the three love interests… He gives a mocking laugh, then turns dark and decides to take the world down with him…
But fate starts over, and he’s reborn on the day of the mech tournament. This time, he discovers a beautiful advanced Zerg in the wilderness…It must be a Zerg, right? Something’s odd. Oddly beautiful…Let’s take another look…
Shen Hui is a mech designer of extraordinary talent at the Empire’s Number One Military Academy, and also the Empire’s most beautiful man. Ever since he enrolled, the heirs of the three great families have coveted him. But Shen Hui has a secret boyfriend, and this year his boyfriend is enrolling in the academy’s botany department. Everyone is waiting for the boyfriend to be bullied by the aristocrats and give up, but…who is that person even more beautiful than Shen Hui?…
Everyone thinks Xiloy is a beautiful ornament who lives off genius mech designer Shen Hui. Who could have guessed that he’d shoot an advanced Zerg right through the head with a single arrow? Just who is this pretty ornament who only seems to care about studying plants and flowers…
Shen Hui (not close): “What are you after?”
Xiloy (embarrassed): “M-m-money…to buy a high-level verdant planet, and plant…plant the sacred Mother Tree…”
Shen Hui (cuddly): “Sigh…When will I save enough to buy my wife a planet? Why are mech designers so expensive? If that bastard damages my mech again, I’ll flatten him.”
Xiloy (rich): “Wow! Fruit and vegetables are so easy to sell. I’ve made so much money!! I’ll buy you the latest mech!”
An elf king who transmigrates to another world as the adored one x a reborn love interest
Coming soon 2: Why Can’t a Mermaid Be a Layabout?
Yu Jinyan, an overworked office drone, dreams of doing nothing but lie flat. Then one day, half his wish suddenly comes true. Why only half? He’s turned into a fish, specifically a mermaid in the interstellar era. The good news is that mermaids don’t have to work. The bad news is that his former fellow humans want to capture him and make him lay eggs. The next piece of good news is that a rich and handsome human has taken him in, so he can spend the rest of his life doing nothing…The bad news is that his human seems to be a nutcase…
When Cheris, commander of the Third Legion, raids a space pirate hideout, he rescues a little mermaid, one who happens to have an unusually high compatibility with him. With his psychic power already on the verge of collapse, he adopts the mermaid at everyone’s urging. It’s just that his mermaid is a little strange…
He likes to float on the water and pretend to be a dead fish, terrifying the butler every time.
He likes chips, fried chicken, junk food, and melodramatic interstellar soap operas. He has a bottomless stomach and is nothing like a delicate, high-maintenance mermaid.
He likes calling him a two-legged beast and ordering him around. He shows none of a mermaid’s timidity or sensitivity.
He likes singing nursery rhymes, though he sings terribly and has none of the merfolk’s natural talent. Still, his healing ability is remarkable.
He likes mech games, and his record is…a complete disaster. Then he makes Cheris play for him for free.
He likes keeping his legs for a long time, then forgetting to get back in the water, so he’s gotten dehydrated and cried for help more than once.
…
Then one day, Cheris loses control of his psychic power and transforms into his white tiger form. His mermaid stares at him with shining eyes and starts groping him all over…
Aren’t mermaids supposed to be terrified of catlike beastmen?
His fish is…quite one of a kind?
Catlike commander gong x layabout mermaid shou
Theme: We must grow crops! We must build infrastructure!
I feel like Alos is about to explode hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
Finished reading. To be honest, the first few chapters really persuade me to quit. Even though I like infrastructure, the author's writing style is really poor, and there are many places where the language is not fluent, especially the Baidu explanations about various technologies are directly pasted. No one wants to read this. Secondly, there are various conjunctions that are not used properly and are very awkward. But the concept of this article is indeed very good. First of all, the background is very grand, and it is easy to write a series of articles; secondly, although the background is a Western fantasy, it is not particularly foreign-style, and I will not even remember the names of the people, maybe because there are only a few main characters (PS: This may also be a shortcoming, after all, the Western District background is not Western enough); thirdly, the protagonist is very likeable, a mature and steady person, with goals, perseverance, action, and down-to-earth; Chapter Fourth, it is also a common problem of many rabbits in Western fantasy novels and infrastructure farming. When it comes to food, do as the locals do. Please, even if an international student learns cooking, it is impossible to learn Western food. Just cook Western food for yourself every day (I just watched a Chinese dragon who often cooks Western food in a Western fantasy background. It is very awkward. China has no good food?). The protagonist of this book conquers the public with Chinese food, and a strong sense of patriotism is aroused. Chinese food YYDS!!! Therefore, if you like infrastructure farming, you can really read it. If the author smoothes out the free chapter, it is highly recommended, because there will be fewer flaws in the writing as you go to the end.
Thank you very much for your hard work. The fireworks are finished 🎆🎆🎆
