Every Time I Wake Up, I'm at a Crime Scene

Ke Yu opens his eyes and finds himself transmigrated into a parallel world, as an invisible member of a boy band ranked near the bottom of the industry.

His singing and dancing are mediocre, his popularity is rock-bottom, and he could be shelved at any moment.

All he wants is to seize his last chance, practice dancing diligently, keep up with his fans, and try not to hold his teammates back at the next performance.

However, fate gives him a horrifying start from the start.

The first time, after practicing late into the night, he takes a shortcut through an abandoned factory district on his way back to his rental. His flashlight sweeps across a half-buried sack in a pit and a pair of deathly pale feet.

Terrified out of his wits, he scrambles away and calls the police.

The next day, the local news reports that police, acting on an anonymous tip, have discovered the scene where a serial killer dumped bodies and are working to catch the culprit.

A teammate sees the news and exclaims in shock, "Ke Yu, doesn't that silhouette look a little like you..."

Ke Yu: "...Coincidence. Pure coincidence."

The second time, the band gets a chance to perform as guests at a senior artist's concert. Afterward, Ke Yu goes to move some props.

Then he finds a large bloodstain on a costume.

He has barely finished reporting it when he sees a trending topic:

#Bloodstains backstage at concert, member of obscure boy band#

The third time, his company shoves him into a low-budget web drama to get his face out there. He plays a corpse in the background.

During an explosion scene, the blast sends dirt flying, and several stark white bones roll out with the soil to the director's feet.

The entire crew falls silent.

The director stares in shock and calls "Cut." The camera crane pans around, just in time to capture a close-up of Ke Yu beside the bones.

#Ke Yu, real corpse unearthed on set# shoots up the trending list again.

Ke Yu finally realizes what's going on! He's transmigrated into a detective novel!!! And, as luck would have it, his role is a passerby in every single case.

2. Ye Zhaoqing never expected to have anything to do with show business. As captain of the criminal investigation team, he's recently received a string of emergency calls from the same person.

From a serial body-dumping case to a mystery at a concert, and now a decades-old skeleton, this person has appeared at every scene by sheer coincidence.

"Officer Ye! I swear I was just passing by. Do you believe me?!"

Ke Yu really feels like there's no way he can clear his name.

He's determined to shake off his "supernatural" reputation, until several "locked-room disappearance cases" occur. The cases are bizarre in the extreme, every lead has gone cold, public opinion is in an uproar, and the task force is at a loss.

Ke Yu wakes up one day... and the sky is falling!

What do you know, he's run into the killer again!

Theme: Bring the truth to light, let the dead rest in peace, and leave the real culprit nowhere to hide.
