Before I Died, I Spread a Rumor That My Rival Had Abandoned His Spouse and Child

Lou Yueguan knew he had been poisoned by cold toxin and didn't have long to live.

The master of the Tower Under Heaven read his fortune: he had one month left.

With just a month to live, Lou Yueguan spent twenty days lying around. He prided himself on his extraordinary beauty and couldn't accept dying, so resentment bubbled up inside him.

Then he heard that his nemesis had made breakthrough after breakthrough, fighting opponents at higher levels and becoming famous throughout the land.

Lou Yueguan was indignant. Why did that guy get to have such a good life?

So he wrote 180 letters of complaint, spreading rumors that Li Daosheng was cold and heartless, fickle, a seducer who abandoned his lover, and a man who had fathered a child only to abandon them!

He was going to die anyway. He didn't care what people thought of him after he was gone, but Li Daosheng...

On the twenty-ninth day, Lou Yueguan sent the 180 letters to the various prestigious clans, then closed his eyes and waited to die.

On the thirtieth day, he opened his eyes.

Oh no!!! It wasn't cold toxin. He had simply awakened an Ice Spirit Root.

The apothecary said, "Congratulations, young master. Those who survive a great disaster will surely have good fortune ahead."

Lou Yueguan closed his eyes. "I'd rather have died."

Three months later, the spirit realm opened.

Lou Yueguan watched as Li Daosheng flew toward him from far away, smiling warmly. "Cold and heartless?"

"Fickle?"

"Abandoned your lover and child?!"
