The third installment in the Jiangcheng universe Yu Xiaowen is a criminal police officer. He’s broke, a low-grade O, and has a disabled gland, so he can’t be marked and can’t find a partner. He’s all alone, with both parents dead, and now he’s terminally ill, too. His own account: Looking back on my life, there’s not much I’m especially attached to. I did fall head over heels for an S-class Alpha in middle school, but he put the love letter I gave him on the school bulletin board. He thought what I did was as disgusting as my low-grade scent. That guy comes from an exceptional family, and there’s a class divide between us. After graduation, I had even less chance of reaching him. But by a twist of fate, I ended up with something that could ruin him… I’m nearly dead, so if it were anyone else, I’d let it go. But him? I want to disgust him one more time.
