I have a first love.
He's short, with naturally curly black hair.
Because of him, I fell in love with volleyball.
But not only did he turn down my confession, he said he wanted to draw manga!
Liar!
I will never forgive him for quitting volleyball!
I never expected to run into an orange-haired kid who played volleyball and said he wanted to become a Little Giant like him.
I was furious!
That was my first love! How could just anybody become like him?
His serves were awful, his blocks were awful, his receives were awful, and his spikes were awful, awful, awful!!!
He was completely third-rate garbage! And he thought he could be a substitute? What a joke!
I wanted to see what made that guy so confident!
Later
Huh?
What first love? What Little Giant? I don't know them.
You're the ultimate decoy! An unbeatable ninja!
The most handsome, cutest sun in the world, and mine alone!!!

Reader's guide:
1. Third-person narration. Please go easy on any OOC (I'll get on my knees and apologize first).
2. [Highlight] The heroine really does insult the little sun at the beginning, constantly picking on him. Later, she'll fiercely defend him. Also, [highlight] the heroine really did like Tenma Udai before, in the way a young girl experiences her first crush, and Udai rejects her. A super melodramatic replacement plot, but the heroine never actually treats the little sun as a substitute.
3. The heroine will become a dietitian. In high school, she'll prepare lunches for the little sun and remind him to recover, so the little sun won't leave the court during the match against Ougidai (the pain is just too much). I haven't decided whether they'll win or lose yet; I'll go with what readers hope for.
Theme: The sun's light will never go out
