Here are two examples to prove it: First, when she learned that the volleyball team’s ace had been held back for five years, had five lives on his hands, and was selling drugs at school, she hesitated for half a second between protecting her life and uncovering the truth, then chose A and went for it. Second, when she realized she was in love with him, she hesitated for less than half a second between hiding her feelings to stay friends and confessing, risking rejection and going their separate ways, then chose A and went for it anyway. After they started dating, her clubmates interviewed her: What’s it like dating the volleyball team’s ace? Wearing a scarf her boyfriend had knitted by hand, eating the heart-shaped lunch he’d made for her, and about to message him to apologize for not going home with him yesterday, Kitagawa Hoshie had a brief crisis of faith. “How do I put it? It feels like I’ve somehow managed to pick up an adorable girl who’s considerate, gentle, sensitive, and over 184 centimeters tall...” Her clubmates sucked in a sharp breath and pointed at the person on the court... Seriously! What kind of girl can unleash a cannonball like that!!! Blurb screenshots: December 24, 2024 / April 23, 2025 Reader’s guide: 1. This is fanfiction, so the characters may be a little out of character. Please forgive me. I’ll do my best to bring out the best in them. I love everyone in Haikyu!! (except the Kitagawa Daiichi coach)! 2. [Important warning] The heroine’s family background may involve a little angst and melodrama. The couple save each other, so this isn’t pure fluff. It’s bittersweet, though the angsty parts are brief. 2. Mostly romance and everyday life. 3. Lots of headcanons. Please ignore any plot holes. 4. It really is all everyday life and melodrama. My skills are limited, and I can’t make everyone like this story. Meeting is fate, and parting just opens the door to the next encounter, so please keep your comments friendly (hands clasped, please try not to give low ratings). Love you all~.
