I Love the Way You Tremble (40,000 Words Saved)

"A silly name given to real people is like ripping open a rag doll and finding real guts and real lungs inside. A beautiful heart. Blood. So much hot, sticky blood."

--Choke by Chuck Palahniuk

Gan Sui, code name S01, was classified as the most dangerous patient in Alice Psychiatric Hospital.

"Only medication and candy can calm him down," the recorder wrote in the report. "But the latter can't restrict his movements, so we use medication, large doses of sedatives, along with full restraints and the highest level of security, to keep him from escaping his room."

But the measures they thought would keep him locked up were still a joke.

Gan Sui hummed as he strolled through the psychiatric hospital at midnight, light on his feet, happily thinking about who he'd give nightmares to tonight.

Plop. A book fell in front of him. A book without words.

Curious, he picked it up and was drawn into a strange story.

In the story, he was a designer of escape rooms, and his goal was to trap the players.

Gan Sui casually designed a few traps. Once the escape room was complete, three players appeared out of nowhere, and three swords of Damocles appeared over Gan Sui's head.

Twenty-four hours later, two of the three players were dead. The last one, a man named Shang Lu, was like a bloodied lone wolf, with a chilling gaze that was hard to forget.

Gan Sui thought the story was over and everything would end there. But when he opened his eyes, a sharp sword fell from the sky and sliced off his fingers.

Overcome by pain, through tear- and blood-blurred vision, Gan Sui turned his head and saw the name on the sword:

Shang Lu.

"He's a terrifying god who toys with the world. All living things cower at his feet, humbly begging for his mercy."

"And you dared profane him."

"When the god was dragged down from his altar, he thought endless imprisonment and humiliation awaited him."

"But he fell into the softest velvet in the world, opened his eyes, and saw enough candy to last him a lifetime."

A little scene

In the book. Gan Sui smiled as he stabbed Shang Lu again and again. "I just love the way you tremble..."

In reality. Shang Lu pinned Gan Sui against the wall and watched him shake. "Mm. Me too."

#You messed with me in the book, so of course I'll get you back in reality

A strong-couple infinite-flow story. Gan Sui x Shang Lu, two crazed leads with unhinged values. A story about an escape-room designer and an escape-room player falling in love (not a chance) and killing each other (for real).

It's Gan Sui [sui], not Gan Zhu [zhu]!

***The protagonists are all crazy. Their values do not represent the author's values.***
