Blurb:
An accident causes an energy shock to send the spaceship carrying Ulala into an abnormal jump, bringing him to a mysterious, unknown planet.
Preliminary measurements indicate that the planet's natural evolution is still in prehistoric times.
Ulala: Great! A prehistoric civilization. I'll build one!
Scavenge the shore, mine, tame prehistoric beasts, influence the evolution of species... The future of the race is mine to create! Humanity, let's climb back to the top of the food chain!
But full of confidence and armed with a guide to farming and leveling up, Ulala steps out of the ecology pod, looks up, and quickly realizes there are two problems:
1. The sea before him isn't a sea! In this primordial abyss of chaos... there isn't even any organic matter!
2. The only golden finger he can count on is the System AI built into the ecology pod. But this so-called artificial intelligence's most frequent response is:
"Sorry, I don't understand what you're saying."
On a primordial planet 4.5 billion years ago, white lightning split the eternal night, sparking the first organic matter in an inorganic ocean.
In the Cambrian Period, 500 million years ago, trilobites opened their eyes after the great explosion of species. Their calcite-crystal lenses reflected the blue waters of the shallows for the first time.
Human history spans only two million years, the blink of an eye in the history of evolution.
Countless times waking. Countless times sleeping deeply. Countless acts of witnessing and creating.
For the umpteenth time, Ulala steps out of the ecology pod. In the first rays of the rising sun, he drives away the beasts lurking outside the cave, then bends down with a smile to the ancient apes trembling in its depths.
"Hello there, Lucy."
"It's been a while, humanity."
#When the mountains are in the right place,
the terrifying upright ape will awaken and rule the world!#
Bonus scene:
When he first arrived on the prehistoric planet, Ulala's first thought was: Good thing he still had his spaceship.
The ship could produce nutritional supplements, so with those and the hibernation pod, he could lie around like a salted fish until humanity evolved.
...Then he discovered:
The nutritional supplements were way, way, way too disgusting!
After a few days of drinking them, Ulala's mouth was so bland he could practically taste the Archaeopteryx. Sniffling, he went outside and scooped up a handful: Great, seafood everywhere!
Ulala's eyes lit up. He was about to cook it when he cracked one open...
Help! The seafood was all too primitive! Just shells, no meat! How was he supposed to eat this stuff?
Ulala went into hibernation in tears for millions of years, hoping evolution would take off a little more.
When he came out again, well, the seafood had certainly grown.
It had grown bigger than his spaceship.
#The seafood is so huge, it won't fit in one pot!#
#Thanks for nature's generous gift, but please, as the seafood gets bigger and tastier, could you not make every last one of them evolve into a ferocious deep-sea predator!#
A lighthearted, no-romance, silly (?), farming-and-leveling-up story with a male lead. All the leveling up comes from nature's generous gifts.
Important:
This is entirely fictional! Entirely fictional! Entirely fictional! The story takes place on another planet in a remote corner of the galaxy. The species, periods, and evolutionary paths mentioned use real-world academic terminology for ease of understanding.
I didn't invent a whole set of species and terminology because... the author couldn't come up with that many names! It would also make it harder to get immersed and more difficult to read... SO... It's just for fun, don't take it seriously!
Also:
The phrase "When the mountains are in the right place" pays homage to the Cthulhu mythos line, "When the stars are in the right place, Cthulhu will rise again and rule the world."
The little figure on the cover was inspired by The Little Prince and the protagonist, Kid, from the game I Wanna. Thanks to the artist for their work!
The prehistoric creatures on the cover, from top to bottom, are Dunkleosteus, a jellyfish on the left, an orthocone nautiloid on the right, a trilobite, an ammonite on the left, and an anomalocaris on the right.
The protagonist's name, Ulala, is inspired by the French expression "ohlàlà," an interjection meaning "Oh my!"

Blurb:
Cheng Wu is a dirt-poor office drone with no car, no home, and barely a coin to his name.
Unable to pay rent, he gets kicked out. With nowhere to go, he suddenly spots a rental ad posted by the roadside.
The location is great, the neighborhood is nice, and most importantly, the rent is incredibly cheap.
The landlord's only requirements are that the place be rented to a man, and that he not bring any girls home.
Cheng Wu: Hilarious. That's totally me. I'm so broke I don't dare date anyone.
Cheng Wu contacts the landlord without hesitation.
.
On his first day in the old apartment building, Cheng Wu discovers that almost all the residents have moved out. He's the only one left on his floor.
Cheng Wu: Now I get the public bathroom at the end of the hall all to myself. Great!
The next day, the door to the vacant apartment next door swings open by itself. The newly replaced light bulb flickers with a sinister red glow.
Cheng Wu: It's an old building, I can put up with it...
On the third day, the door stops moving and the light stops flickering.
But then a pale, handsome man with a sinister air appears in his dreams. With a cold expression, he tells Cheng Wu:
Get out.
.
When Cheng Wu's friend hears about it, he looks horrified. "A haunted house! That's definitely a haunted house!"
Cheng Wu calmly reassures him. "What are you talking about? I must be having nightmares because work's been exhausting. Damn those capitalists!"
.
Cheng Wu refuses to admit it's a haunted house for one simple reason: he's already paid six months' rent. There's no way he's moving out!
So it absolutely cannot be a haunted house.
.
The door opens by itself because the latch is loose.
The light flickers because the voltage is unstable.
With an engineering background, Cheng Wu rolls up his sleeves and gets to work, swiftly replacing the latch and fixing the wiring.
.
As for the handsome man who keeps appearing in his dreams, whose icy ghostly aura creeps up from his ankles, along his calves, and gradually coils around his waist...
Sitting up in bed and holding his aching back, Cheng Wu thinks in despair:
.
I must be so exhausted from work that it's drained me dry. Kidney deficiency, heart palpitations... I'm even having erotic dreams!
Damn those capitalists!
They should be strung up from lampposts!
.
#The haunted house is fake, the haunting is fake, but office drones being exploited by capitalists is real#
#What nonsense. How could ghosts possibly exist? You should watch more Science Approaches!#
Theme: Appreciate nature's incredible artistry and experience the wondrous grandeur of evolution.
I haven't watched it for a long time and I quit v. The idea is actually very interesting. If you stick with it, it may be a masterpiece, but the theme is too grand and difficult to control... The protagonist spends billions of years alone. Even if there is an AI to accompany him, even if he can sleep for a long time, I think he will collapse in the end.
In fact, I think the ending of the story may be tragic. What Ulala is doing now is to keep sleeping, intervening, sleeping, and intervening. But what if humans really developed? Will there really be the same human world? It cannot be a parallel time and space, because two Urala cannot exist at the same time. As a bystander, in this human world, will Ulala regain his sense of belonging to humanity? Therefore, I guess the ending is a tragedy. Ulala's loneliness was doomed when he was captured by the vortex of time and space in this place where birds don't shit, and his only partner is the spaceship AI. But Urala can reduce "wear and tear" by sleeping, as for AI. Time is the cruelest killer. If the AI is not maintained by anyone, it may be difficult to persist to the end.
I watched it back and forth several times and couldn't believe it was actually a trap [crying] [crying]
This is really a rare article. If you keep writing it all, you will really be unable to do it.
After humans are developed, can the protagonist live in the "Sky Island"? Just build one, join the AI, and then figure out how to go back. If you can't go back, build a spiritual network, so that you can always be together?
I came to the comment area again. Yesterday, I thought about the author's target without cp. It is true that the relationship between the male protagonist and Al is more like a bond than love, or it can be said to be love, and they are important people to each other. They have feelings but not love. Al is currently the only companion of the male protagonist on this planet. If Without Al, the male protagonist may fall into fear and it will be difficult to come out. The male protagonist's lively personality and some behaviors have also brought changes to Al. In the company of the male protagonist, Al gradually becomes more and more like a human being. Compared with those industrial saccharins in love, this kind of bond and this kind of relationship may be better.
It seems like it's still a trap, what a pity.
Please update it a lot, read this article
I discovered it yesterday. I finished reading it in one night. Woo woo woo, I feel better for a long time. Author, please read this article.
My parents started arguing again around four o'clock today. I was a little sleepy but didn't dare to sleep. I was a little worried that my father or mother would knock on my bedroom door.
