1.
Lin Yuxi has recently developed a craving for her childhood friend.
Fang Wenye has striking mixed-race features, so sharply defined they’re almost severe. His gray-blue eyes, dusted with a thin layer of frost, are cool and languid. Their quiet chill reins in his fierce aura, making him seem even more distant.
…One bite and you’d break a tooth.
Lin Yuxi had known him for over twenty years and had never been attracted to his type. But lately, it was as if she’d been possessed. Her gaze kept landing where it shouldn’t.
Fang Wenye merely reached for a book, but her eyes automatically locked onto the sliver of waist he revealed. Lean, defined muscles lay beneath his skin, and blue veins traced down either side of his lower abdomen, disappearing just inside his waistband.
Lin Yuxi swallowed.
…A change of taste might not be so bad.
2.
That day, Lin Yuxi went up to present the flight route data. Fang Wenye was as indifferent to her as he was to everyone else, his eyelids drooping lazily. He didn’t spare her a single glance the entire time.
Only when her presentation was wrapping up did he lazily lean back in his chair, meet her eyes, and tug at his collar with a casual finger.
Half of his collarbone slanted out from beneath his shirt. The hollow beneath it was clearly defined, and the contrast between his pale skin and dark clothes made her head spin.
“…The deviation is within an acceptable range.”
She blurted out the last line and fled.
That evening, Lin Yuxi opened the front door and heard the bathroom water just stop.
Fang Wenye sauntered out, wearing nothing but a bathrobe. Its belt was loosely tied, exposing the clean lines of his chest. A few droplets clung to his skin, sliding down the hollow of his collarbone to leave a glistening trail.
…Whose power could go out three times in half a month? Lin Yuxi narrowed her eyes.
Looks like the one with ulterior motives is someone else.

At the victory banquet, Lin Yuxi had a bit too much to drink. She was sprawled on the sofa, trying to sober up, when she heard the lock click.
The person who entered wore a crisp suit, his shirt buttoned neatly to the collar. He stood in the dim light, frowning as he glanced at her, then bent down to check her temperature.
“Fang Xiaoye.” Taking advantage of the alcohol, Lin Yuxi grabbed his collar and yanked him close, crashing into his arms.
Instead of pulling away, Fang Wenye leaned down with her tug. Half his collarbone slipped into view through his crooked collar, and the lines of his chest emerged, partly concealed in the shadows. He looked as if he would let her do whatever she wanted.
Lin Yuxi’s mood turned wicked. She slid her hand lower, pushing her luck. “Let me see your waist.”
A low laugh sounded by her ear.
Then Fang Wenye seized her wrist, and in an instant, she was pinned to the sofa.
His blue eyes caught the light. In their clear, shallow-sea depths, her reflection was the only one. Holding her stiff wrist, Fang Wenye slowly pressed her hand to his chest. “Just looking probably isn’t enough.”
His steady, powerful heartbeat thudded into her palm. His skin was almost scorching, and a low, tempting voice whispered in her ear:
“…Want to touch?”
