Qu Zhi Yu had broad shoulders and long legs. His navy blue coast guard uniform was crisp and neat, his cap brim pulled low as he looked at her from beneath it. He was just like an eagle with its wings folded, head held high.
Blinded by his good looks, she aimed her camera a little off target while taking a picture of the dog. The shutter had barely clicked when she was caught red-handed.
Qu Zhi Yu reached out and took the sunglasses perched on her head, then casually put them on his own face. With his cap brim lowered and half his face hidden behind the glasses, he took a step back and lazily spread his arms. "I wasn't ready for that last shot. Delete it and take another."

Everyone around them said that a man like Qu Zhi Yu had no boundaries. When he was in a good mood, he could flirt with anyone, and whatever he had with her could only be a fling.

Qu Zhi Yu's lips curved in a faint, carefree smile. Amid the tableful of teasing, he raised a hand and ruffled the top of her head. "I came to see you handle me."

No one could have imagined that Qu Zhi Yu would ever have anything to do with the words "clingy and persistent." Not even Fang Yunning.
After all, he was the one who had ended things back then, acting as if it meant nothing to him. Yet now, time and again, he was the one finding new ways to ruin her blind dates.
She hadn't even gotten a clear look at her date's face when the German Shepherd shot in through the door like an arrow. It planted its front paws on her knees and wagged its tail like a propeller.
Qu Zhi Yu strolled over at a leisurely pace, holding an empty leash. He patted the dog's head and chided it, "How many times have I told you not to interrupt your mom's blind dates?"
Fang Yunning gritted her teeth and held back as long as she could. "...Get lost."
"Yesterday you said you wanted to sleep with me, and today you're telling me to get lost." The man laughed cockily and sat down beside her. His gaze shifted from the dog to her face, his words laden with meaning. "How heartless, the mother of my child."
Her date turned green with anger and got up to leave.
That night, Qu Zhi Yu cornered Fang Yunning in the bedroom and kissed her until her head spun. Even as she turned her face to catch her breath, she stubbornly snapped, "Qu Zhi Yu, you bastard..."
"Save your strength," he chuckled, his lips brushing the tip of her ear. "You'll have plenty to curse me for later."
