1. Shen Ziyu, the undisputed aloof prince of International X Middle School.

Smart, beautiful, tall, and always first in class. His family is poor, but he's an exceptional Omega. That means if anything happens to him, there's no one who can protect him. He has every trait that makes people itch to violate him, yet he treats everyone with a coldness that keeps them at arm's length.

No one who confesses to him ever succeeds.

Sometimes, when someone goes too far, they even get one or two looks that say they're trash. And then everyone gets even more excited!

Shen Ziyu knows what those rich boys are thinking, and he hates it. But he has no other way out. The school and major he wants admit only one student each year, and he has to get into the best school and earn the highest GPA.

He'll do anything for his grades. He's never once taken a day off or missed class.

Everyone knows he's addicted to suppressants, and that he'll eventually lose control. They're all waiting to see who he'll end up with, and whose body he'll be beneath when he breaks down and moans.

But there's something they don't know.

The aloof prince they all desire has already found himself a "backup." Almost every night, he knocks on the door of his roommate next door.

2. His roommate, Zhou Yu, is a nobody at school.

A low-grade Alpha, quiet and unremarkable, and a tall laborer who skips work. His rank is so low that everyone assumes he's a Beta.

The only thing about him worth mentioning is that the school assigns rooms by academic performance. He consistently ranks second, which is why he's been able to live with Shen Ziyu all this time.

As for having a roommate coveted by the entire school, of course Zhou Yu likes him too. But more than anyone, he knows how hard Shen Ziyu works, and he's realistic enough to know he could never measure up. He thought he'd have to watch from afar for the rest of his life.

Until one night, Shen Ziyu knocked on his door and said something shocking: "...Do you want to sleep with me?"

Zhou Yu saw the Omega's hands trembling.

3. At first, Shen Ziyu also thought Zhou Yu was a Beta.

He was quite satisfied with this obedient friends-with-benefits partner. In bed, Zhou Yu did whatever he was told. Shen Ziyu didn't even need him to finish. Once he'd had his own fun, he could stop and get right back to his practice tests.

They also made three rules, including that nobody could find out.

Shen Ziyu planned to dump him after graduation. He never expected the scruffy pup to be so capable that he never gave him the chance.

When his wife saved money by skipping meals, he learned to cook and fed him.

When his wife's rank was too high for a low-grade Alpha, he worked hard to become a top Alpha.

When his wife wanted to study abroad, he worked weekends and saved up to pay for it.

When he didn't want his wife to keep getting harassed, he worked like crazy to become an industry big shot and stand up for him.

And every night,

Shen Ziyu would push him until he couldn't take any more, his voice shattered by every thrust. "I told you to make something of yourself, not to get this good at this too!"

But the scruffy dog, head down and hard at work, would only say, "You like it."

Back in school, the suppressant patch on Shen Ziyu's neck once fell off.

Every Alpha who saw the bite mark went crazy: Damn it, which little shit did this?!

The whole school launched a manhunt. Everyone swore they'd find the dog who'd secretly taken a bite out of Shen Ziyu and tear him to pieces!

Then came the class reunion, years later.
