Redefining Haruno Sakura

"Who are you?"

"I'm Haruno Sakura."

"What gives you the right to be Haruno Sakura?"

"My parents gave me that name. What else do I need to be Haruno Sakura?"

"But you have more than one set of parents, and more than one name!"

"Then why can't I be Haruno Sakura? I am Haruno Sakura now."

"Haruno Sakura is a native of the Naruto world! You aren't anymore!"

"Then what am I?"

"Whatever you are, you're not Haruno Sakura! You're an outsider, a shameful thief!"

Haruno Sakura, no, the pink-haired girl stripped of her identity, began to feel confused.

Her memories and cognition were indeed different from those of an ordinary person. As they said, at the age of seven, she had memories from another world, a life entirely unrelated to Haruno Sakura's: that of an ordinary modern person, not a ninja. By modern standards, perhaps she could be called someone who had transmigrated. But she also had memories of the individual named Haruno Sakura, from birth to age seven. Did that mean a modern person had stolen Haruno Sakura's life?

If those memories were the life of another Haruno Sakura, then had that Haruno Sakura also stolen little Sakura's life and body?

If those memories were the life of someone named Uchiha Sasuke or Uzumaki Naruto, then had her future teammates also stolen the life of the girl named Haruno Sakura?

If she had more than one set of memories, then did little Haruno Sakura exist or not?

If she had none of those memories, but chose not to love Uchiha Sasuke, not to train in monstrous strength, and not to be so brave or so strong, would she still be Haruno Sakura?

What if she was just crazy? What if it was all in her head? What if the will of God (the author) wasn't protecting her from within? What if Haruno Sakura's life was nothing but a tragedy, and no one cared about her at all?

So she looked up in confusion and asked, "Who exactly did you come here to find?"

No one answered. The disappointed gluttons had already left.
