The Demoness's Redemption

After sleeping for many years, Lu Qing, the great demon king who once brought an entire city to ruin, awakens. Her powers are far from what they used to be, but word is that her old nemesis, whose skull she once chopped halfway through, is coming for her.

"Why did I kill him back then?" Lu Qing asks, posing a question that gives her pause.

"You were in a bad mood. You don't need a reason to chop people up," her maid answers bluntly.

"That does sound like me." Lu Qing rubs her chin. But another question soon occurs to her: What was her nemesis's name?

How embarrassing. They fought to the death, and she doesn't even know what he was called?

When others come to clean up the mess, they find a few lines of blood on the ground: "The one who killed me is..." Who is it?

Imagine the storyteller saying, "The notorious demon king Lu Qing was defeated by an unknown nobody." That would be a real stain on her reputation. How could she live that down after once being so fearsome?

So who was he, anyway?
