Little Crab Auto Repair, with a Pair of Pincers.

“I should be under the car, not in the car,” Xie Yijiang sang as she stumbled upon a customer breaking up with someone. The problem was, she was already under the car. Even worse, her hair had caught on the customer's clothes.

So all she could do was calmly stick her head out from under the car, watch the entire breakup, and then say, “You’re sitting on my hair.” And, “I didn’t hear a thing.” She smiled, her face as dirty as a cat's.

The customer raised an eyebrow and said nothing. He'd never had the slightest idea what it meant to be embarrassed anyway.

“Is this customer an idiot? Or can he not read?” her apprentice, Xie Ding, asked curiously. “He signed the form in pinyin.”

“...That's French, not pinyin.” Xie Yijiang, former runway model, current auto repair whiz, and student of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, was utterly speechless.

And Yu Weichu, an ethnic Chinese man from Belgium, never imagined that one day someone would mistake him for an idiot.

My name is Ye Duo.

I bet there are lots of people in this world, men and women alike, whose childhood nickname is Panpan, just like mine.

I always lick the foil on yogurt cups, love the meaty part of chicken feet, always fish the little steamed buns out of my Planet Cup candy at New Year, and lately I've been hooked on milk-and-mango Pocky.

If you spend weekends wandering around malls and eating hot pot, are always the first one eliminated when you play board games, go out with your best friend on one side and milk tea on the other, and spend all afternoon gossiping as you wander the streets, then you've definitely seen me. Or maybe we've brushed past each other in a crowd. In this ordinary world, I'm an ordinary person, but I have my own dreams, goals, laughter, tears, and secrets.

Life is quiet, like the still lights on a city street corner in the middle of the night.

Until one day, the police came and took me away. My quiet little life lost its right to show off then and there.

If this were a TV drama, the camera would freeze, then flash back to before the whole story began. Let me remind you:

This isn't a love story that shakes the world. It isn't even about romance.

But it is about him.
