[Kamen Rider Ex-Aid] Can the Sun Rise from a Wound?

After reading the message from Editor No. 17 in my inbox, an inexplicable thought crept into my mind. By the time I came to my senses, I was standing on the balcony.

"The ending is too bleak. Teenagers won't like it." They always say that.

As I hesitated, there was a sudden knock at the door. It was my new neighbor, a pediatrician with a sunny smile.

He handed me a box that the courier had delivered to the wrong address. "I'm Hojo Emu. Pleased to meet you."

His radiant smile... hurt my eyes. I instinctively hid the old scars on my wrist in my sleeve, but I couldn't hide the cans and cigarette butts scattered around the room behind me.

"Love is salt sprinkled on a wound. To get close to me, you'll need the courage to cross a storm. But if you really come... I'll answer you with the deepest undersea volcano."

Reader's Note:

The male lead is Hojo Emu.

A story about redemption. There is no need to sing of love. "I'm always here" is the best confession.

The writing is bleak, but in the end, this is a story about redemption.

There isn't much fighting. The female lead is more like an outsider; she's just a novelist.

Theme: There is always someone who came for you
