Kamen Rider Ex-Aid: Permanent Partner Agreement

Two gaming addicts, Parad and Lexi, hear that the champions of a couples' event will win a limited-edition game card, so they rush to sign up.

When they arrive, they discover it's a dating show. They look at each other in confusion. "What's dating? Is it some boss-level dungeon?"

The host asks them to feed each other dessert. Parad snatches Lexi's cake and stuffs it into his own mouth. "I'll clear it for you!"

During the truth-or-dare segment, they're asked, "What do you find most attractive about the other person?" Lexi answers seriously, "He can clear Dragon Quest without taking a hit."

While the other couples gaze deeply into each other's eyes, they argue heatedly about the latest game strategy.

Seeing the human contestants get so upset they start crying, Parad has a sudden realization. "So a dating show is a game where you try to make your opponent quit first?"

At the end, the show asks the guests to confess their feelings:

"I, Parad, hereby officially invite you to join my team forever! Let's link our IDs, share resources, and conquer every newly released game dungeon together! Take on the highest difficulty! Break every record! Explore every hidden map! Take our gaming careers to unprecedented heights! Will you accept?!"

Lexi: "Accept!!! Parad! Team up forever! Link up! We have to link up!!"

Reader's note: The protagonist is Parad. Rather than a romance, this is a story about two Bugsters who don't understand human emotions teaming up to clear every game, and forming a bond that goes beyond love. To them, a declaration of a permanent team might be a sweeter confession than any declaration of love.

It's probably a short story.

Everything in the story exists to serve the plot. The timeline is after the end of the TV series, so just treat this as an OOC, no-brain parallel-world fanfic.

Premise: "A declaration of teaming up is far more than a confession. For Bugsters, it's the most earnest and romantic thing to say."
