[Honkai: Star Rail] The Dragon Lord Insists on Taking Me by Force

[The main story is complete. Extra chapters will be updated if the author's health allows.]

[Comments on paragraphs are open. Check out my next story, "[Honkai: Star Rail] How Can a Doglike Half-Demon Reasonably Go Wild at the Divine Foresight Commission?" It will begin around Jingzhe.]

Also known as "Even a Powerful, High-Ranking Lover Can Be Forced to Pursue the One They Love?"

Pairing: Dan Feng. A Dan Feng and Yingxing story. The heroine follows the Path of Beauty and the Path of Finality, with little emphasis on the Paths.

["I did not love her because I had chosen to. I never considered whether I had a reason.

Andre Gide, Strait Is the Gate"]

"Flocks of crows bear golden pearls in their beaks as they circle the forest of steles at the end of this world.

And dust weeps, its last wishes unfulfilled.

Until they fly across the River of Forgetfulness and return to their nests.

And at the end of the elegy, the bright moon still spreads its wings high in the sky."

After transmigrating eighty years into the future with a System based on a certain dance tune, Xuan Shu, newly come of age in this life, finally discovers, to her sorrow, that this is the world of Honkai: Star Rail. To escape the pursuit of the Denizens of Abundance, she must abandon everything she has built in her former life and seek refuge on the Xianzhou Luofu.

Xuan Shu: Huh?

Luckily, this is the best of times. Yingxing is still an artisan from Zhuming, having just arrived on the Luofu; Dan Feng is still the cold-natured Vidyadhara High Elder and has yet to commit any great sins; Jing Yuan is still a carefree boy whose only worry is his studies; Baiheng is a foxian prodigy pilot skilled with a bow; and Jingliu is still the noble Sword Champion, pure as the moon...

As for Xuan Shu, aside from her face and an endless supply of clothes, all she has is countless spices and gold.

With gold to pave the way, she can do even more.

Uh... It seems... maybe... she's done a little too much...

Once again hauled out of a corner by the Cloud Knights, Xuan Shu, who had been engrossed in kissing, glances at the powerful High Elder she insists on forcing to pursue her and thinks she may have gone a little overboard.

Is she really some kind of universally adored Mary Sue?

The little crow, with a wingspan of five meters at rest and thirty-five meters in flight, standing 188 centimeters tall, able to toss a 250-kilogram battle axe around like a toy and possessing arms strong enough to lift the High-Cloud Quintet, tilts her head.

...Never mind. Dan Feng, kiss me...

...I made fun of myself, so nobody else is allowed to make fun of me!

Fate is full of cruel twists and is beyond the control of mortals. Fortunately, Xuan Shu has found a way to make a life of her own.

A bird-brained, super-strong heroine who seems elegant and aloof but is actually clingy × a cold, unrestrained, taciturn, love-struck (?), ghostly male lead

Though everyone calls her a little crow, the heroine is a raven (ahem).

Note:

1. This is a Dan Feng and Yingxing story. The Shuhu Rebellion, the Moon Rage, and the creation of "Blade" all involve original changes, especially the creation of "Blade." Blade fans, enter at your own risk!!!! (Though it won't be worse than the original, and I'm sorry, I don't want to get put on someone's list of things to beware of.) The entire High-Cloud Quintet survives (there are fake-out deaths, but everyone will be brought back) and they age naturally. Differences between the Quintet and the original are my own changes.

2. The male lead is Dan Feng as seen in the "Xuanhuang" PV: a high-ranking, cold, world-weary ghost, with some original characterization. OOC warning.

3. The heroine is an elegant, aloof big sister to others, but clingy and spoiled in private. She doesn't fight on the front lines. She's a social butterfly and information broker, playing the role of "one of the women behind the High-Cloud Quintet."

4. The heroine follows the Paths of Beauty and Finality. She will not become an Emanator. The Aeon lore is all made up. In her previous life, as a player, she was a "Blade fan who was both top and bottom," so there will be a lot of Yingxing scenes.

5. The heroine's relationship with every character besides Dan Feng is "dearest friends and family" ("dearest" is an adjective). Dan Feng is the only romantic interest. She's an unconventional universally adored heroine who wins people over with her face and wallet. No romance with anyone besides Dan Feng! No romance!

6. HoYoverse, please cut me some slack.

Theme: The road ahead is long. Fledgling eagle, please keep flying
