Dawn (Apocalypse Novel)

(I can't keep writing fanfiction forever, so this story came about. I'll do my best to keep the tone serious and make the scenes and their logic plausible.)

Zombies run rampant, and the long night descends.

Her brother, Lin Yuan, traded for a textbook specially designed for the apocalypse for his younger sister, Teng Yu. It didn't teach her how to reach the other shore, but how to survive on this broken one.

He taught her how to identify weaknesses and make use of her surroundings.

Until the virus spread, and reason burned away.

He took her trembling hand and pointed the knife's tip at himself.

"The final lesson... is learning how to kill me."

Teng Yu gazed at that faint glimmer that had yet to go out, tears rolling down her cheeks.

"Brother, all you taught me was how to survive."

TIP: This probably doesn't count as a wish-fulfillment story. It has a slow-burn pace.

(Not a story about siblings by blood; the brother and sister won't become a couple. Their deep, sincere feelings have nothing to do with romance.)

(Not a sugary romance, and neither the male nor female lead will be tortured. I said this is serious drama, and I mean it.)

Theme: Love runs deep, but it isn't romance.
