[Tom and Jerry] Birds of a Feather Flock Together

This is one story in the Twisted Childhood series. I rewatched the Tom and Jerry episodes that won awards in 1948, and with two other stories on hold, I felt like writing this. It should be a short story, just for fun. Jerry and Tom were born in the same town. Jerry came from a well-off family and had nine siblings. Tom had lost both his parents and had to make his way alone. Jerry once wanted Tom to work for his family. Even though Jerry was the youngest and had little chance of inheriting anything, at least Tom could have had a comfortable, steady job and wanted for nothing. But Tom was used to relying on himself, so he turned down Jerry's offer and went to work for a gentleman in a small village near New York. When Jerry found out, he secretly came there too, becoming an unwelcome squatter. He would cause Tom trouble now and then, hoping that one day Tom would give in and go home with him. Theme:
