A short Republican-era story. The couple both die, but it's still a happy ending!!! Most of the setting is fictional, so please don't complain.
It's finished, and I'm posting the chapters I've saved up.
A roguishly handsome heir to the biggest pharmaceutical company and a gentle, beautiful musician returning from abroad
Zhu Xi spent many years studying abroad with his parents. At twenty-four, he boarded a ship home alone. Unfortunately, his violin was stolen as he disembarked, leaving him with only a little pocket change. With no other options, he went to the music shop owned by his teacher.
His teacher lent him a violin, and he tried playing his favorite piece, Butterfly Lovers.
At the shop, he unexpectedly met a rather handsome fellow, who, he heard, was an heir.
Zhu Xi was won over by the salary Liang Yu offered. He really needed the money, after all.
And so, Zhu Xi found a job after returning home: teaching music to the young master's younger sister.
Liang Yu heard Butterfly Lovers, a piece he would never forget for the rest of his life, and thought it was beautiful. At first, he was simply curious about the beautiful man who had returned from studying abroad. He didn't know why, but for some reason, he wanted to be friends with him.
Later, they became boyfriends.
"There may be no next life, but meeting you is enough."
"You're so cheesy."
"I'm afraid you don't know just how much I love you."
"Moonlight reflects my longing for you. May you come into my arms, and may our love endure forever."
Theme: Until I met you, I didn't know what it meant to yearn for someone
