I don’t even know what kind of mess I’ve written...
When the comments start going wild, everyone is waiting to see the “white moonlight” fall from grace.
He Yun and Gu Zhigeng have known each other for ten years and been in love for seven.
Until a stream of bizarre comments appears before He Yun’s eyes, declaring that he is merely the “cannon-fodder white moonlight” in a melodramatic novel.
The comments insist:
Gu Zhigeng is about to fall in love at first sight with the young, energetic protagonist, while He Yun, who has “taken the spot” for seven years, should make a graceful exit after the “seven-year itch.”
At the same time, an intern named Xi Ruo appears in their lives at just the right moment, with clear eyes and a fervent admiration for He Yun’s professional expertise.
He Yun adjusts his glasses, glances at the wedding ring glinting on his ring finger, then looks at the comments celebrating their so-called “destined match.”
Suddenly, he finds the plot absurdly laughable.
So, while everyone waits for the story to follow the “original novel”...
The comments begin to hesitate and grow confused, before finally erupting into screams:
[This is wrong! This isn’t how it was supposed to go!]
[The white moonlight... Why isn’t he following the script?!]
He Yun simply lifts his glass and offers a slight toast to the invisible audience.
My life has never had a script.
And my leading man has never had a second choice.
