My Battle-Power-MAX Dodder Bamboo-Horse

The year 2846. An apocalyptic disaster.

Before that moment arrived, I was still fooling around with my childhood friend, complaining that the birthday present he'd picked was too flashy.

The zombies on the DVD were howling when a monster suddenly crashed through the window.

My childhood friend had been trembling with fear at the movie and hiding in my arms, but just before the monster could touch me, he grabbed the knife we'd set on the coffee table to cut the cake.

He took down five monsters all by himself.

Their severed limbs littered the floor. His face was smeared with blood. Once he was sure we were safe, he pulled me into his arms and sobbed, his nose running and tears streaming.

"Waaah, Xia Xia, I'm so scared," he choked out.

I was even more scared.

I carefully took the knife from his hand and set it aside, then gently stroked his hair.

"It's okay. You took care of them all, didn't you?"

He seemed to realize what had happened only then, and began crying even louder.

"What did I just do? I think I'm terrifying. Waaah, I've become a crude man who doesn't deserve Xia Xia anymore..."

Did this guy just say something incredible without realizing it?

But look at the situation we're in.

I sincerely put an arm around my childhood friend's shoulders. "I still think a man who makes people feel safe is the best."

*The male lead is a crybaby, but is naturally a battle maniac.

*The female lead is scared, but her sanity never drops no matter what she sees, and she's very good at soothing him, keeping the male lead mentally stable.
