Can Even the Ghost King Have a First Love He Can't Forget?

Growing up together did nothing to make Muzan feel any special affection for Asamiya Haru.

Kibutsuji Muzan hated his childhood friend from the bottom of his heart.

Asamiya Haru was an ordinary, quiet child who wasn't particularly pretty.

His family told him, bedridden for a long time, to pick a playmate from among a group of children. Out of a malicious desire to toy with people's hearts, he casually pointed at Haru.

He had no idea that he was giving Haru a stepping stone to grow stronger, helping her learn and mature at an astonishing pace...

A true genius gradually emerged.

Asamiya Haru learned everything incredibly quickly. Even if she left him, she could go anywhere.

Her life kept rising while his sank. Confined to his sickbed, he was close to death.

What would happen to her life after that?

Would she have a happy life and a loving family? Would she have children of her own? Would she find true love? Would she forget him? Would she live to a ripe old age?

Haru had grown too quickly. She had become someone he could never catch up to.

Someone he couldn't catch up to even if he fell into depravity and became a demon.

He hated her.

He hated that woman.

He hated Asamiya Haru, forever...

Muzan wanted to bite Haru to pieces with his own teeth and swallow her whole.

[Still writing childhood-friends romance, one-on-one, love and hate]

(A super-powerful genius girl and her gloomy, frail, small-minded, twisted childhood friend.)

(At first he feels very superior, until the girl grows up. Muzan watches the dazzling brilliance of a genius and is shaken to the core, furious and resentful about his own frailty. But the girl is oblivious and even treats him well. Even his hatred is so powerless, lol.)

[Reader's Guide | Content Notes]

1. Girl x boy. The female lead has a normal female body, no ABO, no role reversal, both leads' first love.

2. Please don't mention other works in the comments, and don't mention this story under other works.

3. Light, simple story, intentionally out of character. Little of anything besides the men.

4. No writing advice, please don't derail the comments.

(The ending should be open, with some alternate-timeline side stories. Around 150,000 Chinese characters in total, I think. I want to write a short story. If you like it, please add it to your favorites! ^3^)
