A brooding, obsessive male ghost top × a gloomy office-worker bottom
The main story is told in third person.
One day, I looked in the bathroom mirror and saw a doll in red hidden inside it.
I turned around and saw a roomful of red camera lights glowing in the corners.
My apartment was the only one on its floor, and my key card was still quietly tucked in my pocket.
So I quickly realized someone else was watching me.
An overwhelming fear washed over me. In a daze, I walked over to my computer. Somehow, a live feed of my home was playing on the screen.
Dozens upon dozens of tiny windows covered the screen like a swarm of ants.
With trembling hands, I opened the oldest recording. A face exactly like mine appeared before me, wearing an expression and speaking in a tone I'd never seen or heard from myself. It said cheerfully, "Surprise!"
The good news: It seems I installed the cameras myself.
The bad news: It seems the one who installed them wasn't "me."
After that, every night when darkness wrapped around my neck and choked me, I could hear a breathless voice, its excitement barely held in check, as I struggled to breathe:
"You'll never get away from me."
*They love and destroy each other. Both try to drive the other to their death.
