Mister Twenty-Six

Bai Wei first met Fu Guang by chance, but he was willing to pull him out of the mire and take him home because of that chance encounter.

He was Fu Guang, the sun, yet he always felt that Bai Wei was the real sun.

Bai Wei would hold him tight and say, "I promise." I promise this will never happen again.

He would say, "Don't be afraid. I'm here." I'll always be here.

He would also ask about Fu Guang's studies and whether anyone had bullied him. Fu Guang thought it was only natural that he would fall in love with him. If he could, he wanted things to stay this way forever.

Bai Wei died when he was twenty-six. Only after seeing it with his own eyes did Fu Guang realize that people don't immediately turn to ash. Some stubborn bones have to be dug out and crushed.

He avenged Bai Wei, then jumped into the sea with his ashes in his arms.

'Beloved, we will sleep forever, beyond the reach of the world, in the depths of the sea.'

[Two bottoms, a platonic relationship, a spiritual romance

Bad ending, one of them doesn't marry

Set in an alternate world. Important: this is the modern setting of the kind of space opera I usually write, but it isn't actually a space opera!

This short story was completed in 2022 or 2023. A reader messaged me today saying they wanted to read it, so I'm posting it again! Thank you so much for remembering me!

I've made a few tiny revisions, but it's still the same story~]

Theme: Keep moving forward with conviction, and don't look back.
