Today's Dawn and the Dagger My Stepfather Used to Kill Me

"Everything I did was to find out whether my mother loved me."

"I wanted to know who my mother would choose if my stepfather and I were in the same danger."

"Sadly, I died."

"My mother won't get my inheritance."

"I wanted to drown her in pain and guilt."

"And I clearly succeeded."

Forty years later, a bouquet of white roses lay before a weathered gravestone. The woman who had placed it wore a black dress and a small black hat. An emerald gleamed on her ring, and her walking stick stood straight.

An equally elderly man stood beside her. He wore a suit and held an umbrella over her.

The woman suddenly gave a mocking laugh. "You bet wrong, didn't you, Xu Ji? You ended up in such a sorry state too. How rare."

[Still third person, please leave a little comment, pretty please~

The story has a bleak atmosphere, about the yearning for a family bond that can never be fulfilled.

Bad ending.]

Theme: I hope everyone will love themselves more.
