The Evening Breeze

[Blurb]

With the succession to the throne unsettled, the princes who had fought tooth and nail raced back to the capital. There they found their dying father taking a new consort, Lady Shen, and lavishing her with so much favor that he had lost his senses to her beauty.

Everyone present harbored their own schemes. Prince Qing, Li Chengwu, lowered his head and put on the look of a dutiful son.

That night, he led Lady Shen into an empty palace chamber and wiped away her bright lipstick.

At last, she looked the way he remembered.
