[Blurb]
Xiao Zhuo recently injured his head and slept unconscious at home for two or three days before waking up. During those days, he had a very long dream.
He dreamed that some time later, he went into battle and someone swung a club at the old wound on his head, hitting him so hard he became completely stupid.
The Xiao family couldn't find him and assumed he was dead. In fact, a beautiful noblewoman happened to pass by and took him in.
Her maid teased him for being an idiot and called him a stupid dog to his face.
But he couldn't understand her, and truly and diligently served as the noblewoman's dog for many years.
After Xiao Zhuo woke up, he was furious. He rubbed his fists, went to the battlefield, and protected his head so thoroughly that not a single gap remained.
He thought, Hah! Whether that dream was real or not, there's no way I'm ever going to be a woman's dog.
He turned his humiliation into fighting strength, crushing the enemy until they couldn't put up any resistance. They fled in a panic, abandoning their armor and even leaving their daughter behind along the way.
Xiao Zhuo sneered as he captured a prisoner. When he pulled off her veil, he saw a face that looked awfully familiar.
So familiar that when she glanced at him, he instinctively dropped to his knees before her.

After Zhao Lingxi died unjustly and was reborn, she reflected deeply and decided to find a way to save herself.
But a dog stood right in the way of her escape, refusing to let her pass no matter what.
When she gave him a cold look, the dog wagged its tail. When she smiled at him, the dog still wagged its tail.
She said she wanted to leave, and the dog spoke human words: Have I treated you badly? Why are you so determined to leave?
Zhao Lingxi was baffled.
She'd never even met him before, so why did he act as if she owed him something?
What a complete mystery!
