[Western Crossover] Keep Reading My Thoughts and I'll Kiss You!

Criminal Minds fanfiction, pairing with the genius doctor.

My column also has several completed Criminal Minds fanfics. Feel free to check them out.

Spencer Reid faces the biggest challenge of his career.

Not a serial killer, not an unsolved puzzle, but... the fact that he can see bubbles of inner thoughts floating above the head of Cecia, the FBI's newest recruit.

They range from "This world really is cursed. Someone told me to go to hell yesterday, and today I'm at work QAQ"

to "My vacation was over in the blink of an eye. If only I hadn't blinked"

and "Novels really are all lies. How could anyone fall for a coworker or a boss? The only thing I'd fall for is killing them."

The vivid, densely packed bubbles of thoughts overlap one another, and only Reid can see them.

Reid: "..."

Even his 187-IQ brain can't come up with a scientific explanation for this phenomenon.

Worse, the BAU team members interpret the way he keeps looking up at Cecia's desk in an entirely different way.

Even Hotch subtly reminds him that personal matters can wait until after work and shouldn't interfere with the job.

Reid: "…"

This is so unfair!

To prove his innocence, he has no choice but to come clean to Hotch. During an absurd test, he writes down every single one of Cecia's thoughts with perfect accuracy.

Cecia: "?"

Before entering the BAU unit chief's office, her heart is racing. She's afraid this unsmiling boss is going to pick apart her work, but also afraid he's only human on the outside and a monster in private.

Only after entering the office does she discover, during this bizarre test, that her thoughts have been running around naked in front of a BAU agent all this time?!

A string of shrill groundhog screams erupts above her head, and her thought bubbles almost blow up Hotch's office!

Reid mumbles under his breath, "Um... c-could you stop screaming? You're making my eyes hurt."

Cecia grabs the trophy on Hotch's desk. "Close your eyes! If you keep looking at my thoughts, I'll fight you!"
