[Full manuscript in progress]
[For certain well-known reasons, all the plot involving a certain Detective Conan has been cut out. orz]
1.
The player was an innocent college student who, one day, was kidnapped and made to play a tabletop role-playing game.
After carefully learning all the stats, the player asked sincerely, "I understand everything else, but what does Charm mean?"
The Keeper, also a beginner, said, "...Maybe it means making this character your good friend."
The player suddenly understood.
The player pondered this.
Keeper: I have a bad feeling about this.
2.
The player firmly followed the wisdom that more friends meant more opportunities, maxed out their Charm stat, and tried to Charm everyone they met.
What's this, a guy with smiling eyes?
Charm him.
What's this, a gravity manipulator?
Charm him.
What's this, the scumbag boss?
Charm him.
Player: Keeper, why do I keep rolling critical successes? What's the difference between a critical success and a regular success?
Keeper: Maybe the difference between being super good friends and being regular friends?
Player: Then everyone's my good friend!
The Keeper had expected the player to get into serious trouble, but could only watch as they became a Mafia boss, a Special Grade sorcerer, an A-rank squad member...
Keeper: ???
It looked at the people behind the player, all fighting over them, then at the player, cheerfully oblivious on their own. Something felt wrong.
3.
The player was having a great time.
But a player is a player, and players change their minds easily.
The player always thought the next one would be better.
They would simply say, "I'm bored of this," tear up their character sheet on the spot, and eagerly dive into the next world.
Eventually, they cleared every scenario.
The player decisively quit the game and returned to the real world.
But...
It seemed the worlds had fused together.
As soon as the player stepped outside, they kept running into familiar faces:
Whenever they were in danger, a white-haired, blue-eyed person would come to their rescue, then make a sarcastic remark: "Didn't you say you were bored?"
Whenever they went for a walk by the river, a man made of black sludge would emerge from the water, grab their leg, and try to drag them in.
Player: Huh, something seems a little off.
Player: Whatever, never mind.
The whole world is full of friends!
4.
Bungo Stray Dogs world:
[You are an ordinary person who only got into the Mafia through connections.]
[The crowd always parts when you approach. Even your usually well-regarded superior never looks you in the face when speaking to you.]
[Your black-sludge superior seems to like you, though. He often invites you to jump into the river with him.]
[You think everyone hates you.]
[Yet in secret, you can always sense an undisguised, voyeuristic gaze coming from somewhere.]

Reader's guide:
1. The player doesn't reciprocate anyone's feelings in the main story. Everyone is a friend.
The bonus chapters have separate 1v1 endings.
2. The tabletop game only uses dice rolling as a premise, with a focus on Charm checks. Everything else is a heap of personal worldbuilding, so you can follow along even if you've never played.
3. OOC warning.
4. This story contains lots of everyone-loves-the-protagonist content and a lethal dose of misunderstandings. If that's not for you, please don't read.
Theme: Best friends for life
