As a new first-year at Jujutsu High, Yuji was very curious about Eli, the upperclassman surrounded by all kinds of rumors.

They said he overthrew the rule of the jujutsu world's stubborn old guard;

They said he foiled the evil curse users' schemes;

They said he stopped the King of Curses from being resurrected;

Yuji asked eagerly, "Gojo-sensei! What kind of person is Eli-senpai?"

Gojo: "Huh? He's not a person."

Yuji: "?"

Gojo pulled out a photo. "Here, take a look!"

Yuji held his breath and looked. He saw a round slime standing on Gojo's head, looking down on the world.

Yuji: "??"

Yuji struggled to process this. "Then where is Eli-senpai now?"

Gojo: "Oh, he went to become the King of Curses."

Yuji: "???"

Reader's guide:

1. The protagonist never becomes human. He's just a lump of slime.

2. The author just can't get some of the original setting straight. If anyone finds a plot hole, then... it really is a plot hole.

4. I ran out of inspiration for my previous upcoming story, so I've switched to a new one. Sorry to the lovely readers who collected the old one.

5. Characters can dodge their canon deaths, but Toji won't be saved, and the various villains definitely won't be saved either. If you're a fan of Mahito or Brain, please don't read.

7. The characters get seriously dumbed down!!! Especially Brain!!! If that bothers you, read at your own risk, because the author's brain isn't quite up to the task (gently).

The Player was an innocent college student who, one day, got kidnapped and dragged into playing a tabletop roleplaying game.

After carefully going over all the stats, the Player asked sincerely, "I understand everything else, but what does Charm mean?"

The KP, who was also a beginner, said, "...It means making this character your good friend, I guess."

The Player suddenly understood.

The Player pondered this.

KP: A bad feeling.

The Player firmly believed that more friends meant more options, maxed out their Charm stat, and tried to Charm everyone they met.

What's this, a squinty-eyed guy?

Charm him.

What's this, a gravity manipulator?

Charm him.

What's this, the Scum Boss?

Charm him.

Player: KP, why do I keep rolling critical successes? What's the difference between a critical success and a regular success?

KP: Maybe one makes them a super-good friend and the other makes them a regular friend?

Player: Then everyone's a good friend!

The KP had expected the Player to get into serious trouble, but could only watch as they became a Mafia boss, a Special Grade jujutsu sorcerer, an A-rank squad member...

KP: ???

It looked at the people behind the Player, all fighting with each other, then at the Player, cheerfully minding their own business. Something just didn't seem right.

The Player had a great time.

But a Player was still a Player, and Players were quick to lose interest.

The Player always thought the next one would be better.

They would always say, "I'm bored of this," tear up their character sheet on the spot, then eagerly dive into the next world.

In the end, they cleared every module.

The Player decisively quit the game and returned to the real world.

But...

It seemed the worlds had merged.

As soon as the Player went outside, they kept running into familiar faces:

Whenever they were in danger, a white-haired, blue-eyed man would rescue them, then sarcastically say, "I thought you were bored of me";

Whenever they went for a walk by the river, a black-mud monster would emerge from the water, grab their leg, and try to drag them in;

Player: Huh, something seems a little off.

Player: Never mind.

Friends are everywhere!
