[1v4, a wooden-hearted heroine x suitors showing off every trick in the book. A battle for her affections]
[Manuscript in progress (as of 2025.8.29, 31,000 words drafted). The heroine's individual storyline is set, as are the personal storylines for four (?) male characters. The outline and the main plot outline are complete, with one third of the full outline done.]
[Based on the response to the upcoming novel, I've decided to start another book first. This one will begin next year (sometime in 2026). If you're interested, feel free to bookmark it.]
Bai Xin had a fiance.
For some reason, every time she saw him, thoughts like "Thirty years east of the river, thirty years west" and "the good-for-nothing gets dumped by his fiancee" would flash through her mind.
But Hua Tianyun really was just like his name, and just like the phoenix cultivation technique he practiced: gorgeous, yet genuinely naive.
Once, when someone asked about her preferences in a partner, she answered offhandedly, "I'd like to keep a male concubine."
The news spread through the entire sect in an instant, even reaching the neighboring sect where Hua Tianyun lived. He rushed over, and the two of them had a huge argument and fight in the sect's central plaza.
He got a hole poked through him by a spirit sword, and her arm was severely burned by phoenix fire.
Their elders each soothed their own younger generation and smoothed things over.
Furious, she returned to her mountain peak to shut herself away and practice hard. Half a year later, she successfully broke through.
When she emerged from seclusion, all her senior and junior brothers came to kiss her.
At morning class, the lively and clever junior brother asked, "Senior Sister, were you serious when you said you wanted a male concubine? What would a male concubine be like?"
Bai Xin: "Don't ask questions like that, little kids."
In the afternoon, she went to the Pill Peak to buy medicine. Her childhood friend, who cultivated there, asked worriedly, "About you and Hua Tianyun..." He hesitated. "That man has always been reckless. Maybe he's waiting for you to back down first."
Bai Xin scoffed. "Who cares about him?"
That night, when she returned to her residence, her senior brother, who was also a sword cultivator, was waiting in the courtyard. "I heard you want a male concubine. Do you really mean it?"
Bai Xin: "I-I-I only said that in the heat of the moment."
A few days later, Hua Tianyun stormed into the sect again and demanded, "When do you want to get married?"
Bai Xin snapped, "Get married to you? In your dreams!"
And so the two of them fought yet again.

Reading notes:
1. Readers under eighteen are asked to refrain from reading. Please don't post comments intended to provoke arguments.
2. It is 1v1 in certain arcs, with an open ending. The main story features a battle for the heroine's affections, and the different male characters all express their feelings, openly or otherwise, while the heroine only cares about cultivating and leveling up. The bonus stories will include alternate endings with different characters.
3. The heroine is adored by everyone, but she's utterly clueless about romance, a pure-blooded blockhead (maybe?), and a sword cultivator.
3. The male characters:
A fiance who's fiery and passionate early on, then turns cold and standoffish.
A gloomy, manipulative green tea childhood friend.
A sweet, understanding junior brother.
A restrained, reserved senior brother (the heroine-exclusive version is especially eager).
