Hawkeye, You Smell So Good

[Previously titled Hawk-Eye, You're My Partner and One Piece: Hawk-Eye, You're a Treasure Sent by the Sea]

[The Bounty Hunter Family arc isn't very well written, and the plot is pretty cliched. It has nothing to do with the main story, so feel free to skip it. Some chapters around it may not be very good either, since I wasn't in a good place then. If you aren't enjoying it, you can skip ahead. Things get back to normal around the middle of Baterilla Island.]

A partner is a partner. A partner can't become a boyfriend.

If we became boyfriend and girlfriend, we couldn't roam the seas together to our hearts' content anymore. If we became boyfriend and girlfriend, we'd only be able to huddle under the blankets, sinking into a warm bed of xx and love.

So a partner can only be a boyfriend. No, I mean, a boyfriend can only be a partner.

Sorry, what I mean is, Hawk-Eye, you smell so good.

A young swordsman accidentally met a mermaid on the beach who claimed to be a fairy.

She looked like she was about to starve to death.

He hadn't wanted to get involved, but the tiny fairy ate his breakfast.

And then she came back every day to eat.

...And so, from then on, the young boy took on the responsibility of raising a mermaid (?)

Mihawk kept feeding her, keeping her company, and protecting her.

After all, what could a mermaid who punched great white sharks, struck Sea Kings with her tail, and sat at the top of the ocean's food chain have to do with his frail, helpless little partner Irene?

.

Dean: Uh-huh, sure. Just keep looking at him through those rose-colored glasses.

Mihawk: Sensei, fight me, not her.

Irene: You fight him, not me.

.

Shanks: I'm so jealous of Mihawk. He's got such a cute girlfriend.

Irene: Huh? You've got it wrong.

Mihawk: We're not boyfriend and girlfriend yet.

.

Sir Crocodile: Can you two get lost, you shameless couple?

Mihawk: ...Who cares what you think?

Irene: Boo-hoo, Croco-chan, you're so cold and heartless.

Reader's Guide:

1. According to the original, mermaids have a hard time moving around on land, so I gave this mermaid a little cheat that lets her walk and jump.

2. Some characters are out of character. The mermaid likes to act cute, and Hawk is a little cocky.

3. There are a lot of original ideas in the plot. Mihawk's identity, background, and relationships are mostly my own inventions.

4. Anti-piracy measures are enabled. The subscription ratio is 60%.

Completed: Red-Haired Shanks, One of the Four Emperors, Willingly Becomes a Dog, pairing with Shanks.

Coming soon: How Does a Succubus Survive on the Grand Line? A pampered, timid, beloved-by-all heroine.
