Synopsis

When Shen Ci first arrived in the Lower City, everyone thought he was an omega.

His skin was very pale, he was small and slight, and his limbs were thin. He looked just like the pampered omega young masters from the Upper City.

Some people wanted to bully him, but he pinned one of them to the ground with a single swipe and beat him half to death. He got hurt himself, too.

Blood trickled over his eyelashes.

Shen Ci saw a man with striking features.

"Your mother once saved my life. I'll take you home as repayment."

The man's voice was gentle, but Shen Ci saw a long dragon tattooed on one arm, while the other glinted coldly... It was a mechanical arm.

Little Shen Ci didn't think he was a good person. He stared at him, eyes full of wariness.

The man thought for a moment, then rested his dragon-tattooed arm on the back of Shen Ci's neck, kneading it gently. "Hungry? Your big brother makes a delicious hot pot."

Shen Ci wanted to say he wasn't hungry, but before he could get the words out, his stomach growled.

And so Shen Ci got to eat hot pot made by Chen Gu. It was delicious.

The Lower City and Upper City have a lot of differences, but they also have one thing in common: people with power live well.

Chen Gu is the most powerful man in the Lower City. He's only a beta, but his mechanical arm kills mutants faster and more accurately than an alpha.

Following him, Shen Ci learns how to fight, how to deceive people, and how to kill mutants. He just never learns how to cook.

That's fine. Whenever Shen Ci wants to eat, Chen Gu will make something for him, no matter how late it is.

Shen Ci eats Chen Gu's cooking, and before he knows it, he's eighteen and having his first heat.

Shen Ci dreams about Chen Gu again.

This time, he comes back after defeating a powerful mutant and asks Chen Gu for a reward.

Chen Gu looks up and smiles tenderly, his affection laced with temptation. "Our Ci is so amazing."

Shen Ci rubs his nose and stares blankly as Chen Gu draws close. The dragon-tattooed arm brushes the back of his neck, just as it did when he was a child, and Shen Ci feels the blood rush to his head.

Shen Ci wakes up.

The bed beneath him is a mess.

His mind is perfectly clear.

He's been in love with this man since he was fifteen, and now he's eighteen. Shen Ci thinks that since this man has taught him so much, he can teach him one more thing: how to deal with the irresistible urges of his heat.

The first thing Shen Ci learns:

Chen Gu's mechanical arm is better suited to helping him than killing mutants.

The second thing Shen Ci learns:

Chen Gu's dragon-tattooed arm is even more capable than his mechanical one.

Reader note

Age-gap romance. Shen Ci is the top and Chen Gu is the bottom. Both characters have point-of-view chapters.

The story is mainly about romance. Fighting monsters is just one part of their play together.
