Check out my other upcoming novel on my homepage:
“Rather Than Fight My Younger Uncle for His Wife...”
A little scene:
“Mr. Gu, Young Master Zhao is back.”
“It’s been two years. Let’s see how many fangs the little brat has left. However many there are, I’ll pull them all out.”
A vicious expression crossed Gu Tingrui’s handsome face. “Tell the hotel that they can change the mattress to the kind he’s used to, but they’re not to accommodate any of his other requests.”
“...Young Master Zhao is staying at the Red Tea Inn.”
The Red Tea Inn is a well-known chain in Victoria Harbour, famous for its value for money.
The rooms average fifteen square meters.
Gu Tingrui frowned. Then how was he supposed to sleep?
And another upcoming novel:
“It’s Not Very Nice to Bully a Mute,” but it’s so satisfying
A brilliant musician with a sweet facade and a dark heart, a delicate elite top x
A fierce lone wolf who turns into a little puppy and can only whimper when someone bullies him too much, a mute bottom
Novel blurb
A domineering Daddy top & a clever, sweet puppy bottom
The powerful people of Victoria Harbour are mostly superstitious about feng shui. Lu Ding, the new head of the Lu family, is the exception. If superstition worked, if there really were karma and retribution, how would he have become head of the Lu family?
Lu Ding is ruthless, cruel, and cuts off ties even with his own family. The people of Victoria Harbour fear and despise him, going so far as to collectively boycott his bid for a new plot of land.
To restore his reputation and win the bid, Lu Ding throws his money around and sets up an education fund. His reputation gradually improves, but then he gets tangled up with a student.
The student, Chen Duqing, has a pair of pretty, round eyes and is always looking at him with a smile.
“Mr. Lu, you’re so handsome.”
“Mr. Lu, thank you for saving me.”
“Mr. Lu, Mr. Lu, can I ask you out?”
At first, the student keeps seeking him out, and Lu Ding finds it annoying. He has no choice but to give him his phone number.
Later, the student keeps batting his big eyes and seducing him. Lu Ding is helpless, so all he can do is pet the puppy’s head and kiss his little mouth.
Later still, in a suite at the Peninsula Hotel, the student buries himself in Lu Ding’s arms and finally shows his true colors:
A contract, in black and white.
Lu Ding thinks, all the other big shots have sweet little companions. Why can’t he keep a pretty puppy?
Who would have thought the pretty puppy couldn’t be tamed? He takes a big bite out of Lu Ding and runs off.
At last, Lu Ding has some peace and quiet.
But then the feng shui masters all over Victoria Harbour start bothering him. He has them all “invited” over to answer just one question:
Where is Chen Duqing?
Blurb B
Chen Duqing knows Lu Ding only has half a heart for him, but that’s fine. He only needs half a heart. With that, he can kill and set fires for Lu Ding, climb a mountain of blades and enter a tiger’s den for him, all alone.
Until one day, Lu Ding suddenly appears. His expression unreadable, he pins Chen Duqing down and kisses him with such ferocity, as if he’s gone mad and wants to tear him apart and devour him.
Only when Chen Duqing lets out a choked whimper does Lu Ding slowly loosen his hold. His lips move to Chen Duqing’s neck and ear, lingering there for a long time before he speaks, his voice strained: “...A Qing, I missed you so much.”
A little scene
Ever since Sorry Boy found out that Chen Duqing’s boyfriend was a rich old man, he’s been worried about him.
He worries Chen Duqing will get his heart broken, worries about his safety, and even worries their sex life won’t be harmonious.
Sorry Boy frets, “It must be exhausting at night...”
Chen Duqing rubs his lower back. It really is exhausting.
Reader’s note
Set in Hong Kong in the early 1980s.
Neither lead is perfect. The top has had rumors spread about him, but none of them are true.
There is a fourteen-year age gap between the leads.
Theme: Those who believe will find love
