A Happy-Go-Lucky Beat Cop's Daily Gossip

After a car accident, Lin Kele suddenly gained the ability to communicate with animals. Meows, barks, and insect chirps all had clear meanings to her. As a young police officer who had only just joined the station, she began using this ability to help more people.

A woman came to report that the gold jewelry in her home had been stolen. Several officers went to investigate. While her colleagues searched for clues, Lin Kele turned her attention to the big orange cat snoozing nearby. She picked it up and poked its belly.

"Meow, meow meow, meow!" the big orange cat drawled lazily.

Lin Kele immediately pointed at the man in the house. "Your husband stole the jewelry!"

The man looked flustered. He denied it, but his body language gave him away. The police promptly investigated him and, sure enough, found records of secondhand jewelry sales on his phone.

One rainy night, Lin Kele's traffic-police colleagues asked her to help investigate a car accident. The elderly man in the driver's seat said earnestly, "I was the one who hit him. Arrest me!"

But Lin Kele noticed a nervous young man and an agitated golden retriever in the car. She asked the dog with her eyes, and the golden retriever threw back its head in the back seat and howled.

"Awooo, woof woof, woof!"

Lin Kele immediately cut off the old man, who was in the middle of confessing. "That's not right. Your son was driving. He was the one who hit the victim! You switched seats, and he was driving drunk, too!"

The old man's face instantly turned ashen. His son in the passenger seat fell silent, and the hit-and-run case was solved just like that!

At dawn, a parrot flew to the entrance of the police station and squawked loudly. A colleague was about to shoo it away when Lin Kele stopped them. "Wait! It's saying its owner is unconscious! The address is 32 Sunshine Road!"

The police hurriedly called an ambulance and, sure enough, found an unconscious elderly woman at that address. They rushed her to the hospital. When she woke up, she thanked the police profusely and even had a banner made especially for Lin Kele.

But Lin Kele didn't immediately accept the banner. Instead, she pulled the old woman aside. "Ma'am, did you know that your loss of consciousness wasn't an accident? Someone did this to you..."

Theft, disappearances, murder... Lin Kele solved one strange case after another. Cheating, plastic surgery, scams... She got the scoop on gossip from all over the city. She snacked on gossip while solving cases, and life couldn't be any happier!
