[This story is temporarily on hiatus. I started it too hastily, so many of the details and worldbuilding were underdeveloped. I'll continue updating once I've revised them. Thank you all for your support along the way.]
[Next book: After Transmigrating into a Book, He Didn't Want to Live]
A uke who puts on a tough front but is soft-hearted and chatty with certain people X a seme with strong self-discipline, patient with certain people
On August 6, 2077, the sun went out. Four hours later, the apocalypse began.
In a world overrun by zombies, I was an inexperienced rookie, unaccustomed to physical labor and unable to tell the five grains apart, who rarely exercised. I struggled to survive.
I had no choice but to enter the city in search of the boyfriend I loved. I didn't want to die alone.
When I saw him, his blood-red eyes stared straight at me. He came closer, lowered his head, and aimed his sharp teeth at my neck. There was nowhere for me to run, nowhere to hide.
...I think I got here too late.
What do I do? My boyfriend's already a zombie.
"Brother Feng, you can't bite me right now. If your sharp teeth bite me, I might mutate on the spot."
The zombie drew back his sharp teeth and licked Chen Huaizheng's neck.
"Brother Feng, why aren't you saying anything?"
"Brother Feng, your hair's dirty, and kind of greasy..."
"Brother Feng, are you hungry?"
"Brother Feng, you need to trim your nails. I'll file them smooth for you."
"Brother Feng..."
The mute zombie: "..."
A little mouth, but no talking.
Later, Chen Huaizheng stood on the top floor of a human survivor base, gazing from afar at Meng Zhaofeng, who wandered aimlessly amid the dust and ruins.
A zombie who'd lost his reason couldn't get that close to a human base. They'd shoot him full of holes.
Chen Huaizheng thought.
He had to take Meng Zhaofeng away, far away.
And then he never came back.
1. I spent ages tweaking the blurb, but this is what I ended up with. I've changed it back after all.
2. An old-school apocalypse growth story with no special powers.
3. Imperfect characters.
4. Plot-focused in the early chapters, then plot and romance in the middle and later chapters.
Theme: You made me believe that even in a fleeting lifetime, there can be a love called eternal
What😭💔💔💔Why did you stop updating? Don't do it.
Damn it, I updated it!!! [Glasses]
Dear author: Seeing the words is like meeting each other, and the letter is soothing. Falling in love with you is probably the most arbitrary and unreasonable thing in this world. It's not about weighing the pros and cons, or coming up with ideas, but suddenly having you makes me worried about you and I can't let go of you. You are the extraneous branch in my stable years, and the sun, moon and stars in my ordinary life. Whether it's the sunrise in the morning or a nap at noon, I love you. By the way, do you still have your drafts folder?
Thank you to heaven, thank you to earth, thank you for your hard work~
Come on, young couple 😭 😭 😭 sadistic 😭
"The car you drove" gave the author a big bug ~
Why are you bringing Ye Momo with you? It's such a baffling character.
Okay, okay, the main character became bald at the beginning 🐶🌹
