[Self-Conquering Big Puppy Top vs. Fair-Skinned, Gorgeous, Short-Tempered Bottom]
After one workplace setback after another, and then discovering he had a rare blood disease, the troubled Yu Jin decided to return to his hometown to clear his head and wait to die.
He moved back into the old house his grandfather had left him. After all these years, he finally noticed a new house had appeared next door at some point.
His new neighbor was a young man with rippling muscles and bronze skin. Yu Jin had no memory of him at all, yet the man suddenly rushed over and buried his nose against Yu Jin's neck, sniffing deeply.
"You smell so good."
Yu Jin thought the guy was bizarre. He hauled his suitcase inside and immediately slammed the door.
-
The air in his hometown was far better than in the city, and there was no work or everyday stress to worry about. Yu Jin enjoyed himself every day. The only downside was how annoying the mosquitoes were.
The worst time, he woke up with more than ten mosquito bites, having fed one wretched mosquito until it was several times plumper.
Yu Jin put up a mosquito net, but it didn't help. He bought an electric mosquito swatter, but could never hit the thing. The mosquito buzzed smugly without stopping, keeping him awake all night.
In a fit of rage, Yu Jin ordered ten boxes of mosquito coils online and launched his "smoke-bomb strategy."
He didn't know whether the mosquito had died, but a gust of wind set his mosquito net alight, and in an instant the whole bed was on fire.
Just as Yu Jin was about to pass out from inhaling the smoke, his neighbor rushed in, scooped him up, rescued him, and quickly put out the fire.
-
Zhou Haowen was very particular about what he drank, and in all this time he had yet to find blood that satisfied him.
Then one day, someone moved back into the long-empty old house next door: a stunningly beautiful man.
From the first moment Zhou Haowen saw Yu Jin, he sensed a unique fragrance coming from him. That night, while Yu Jin slept, Zhou Haowen turned into a mosquito to investigate. But he couldn't resist drinking Yu Jin's blood, and after that there was no turning back.
Yu Jin bought all sorts of things to deal with him. Zhou Haowen was touched, because humans have a saying: A beating means affection, killing means love, and beating and killing means true love.
After a fire, Zhou Haowen carried Yu Jin back to his own bed. He meant to let him sleep well for the night, but the scent was simply too tempting, and he slowly leaned closer.
Who knew Yu Jin would suddenly wake up and cover his mouth with one hand, asking coldly, "What are you trying to do?"
Zhou Haowen licked his soft palm. "Wifey, I'm so hungry. Let me have a bite, okay?"
Yu Jin: "?"
Who are you calling wifey?!
Reader's Guide:
1. The title is just a bit of wordplay. It has only one character in common with the story: "mosquito." The world's best mosquito is not the world's best top, and it's not the world's best novel, either.
2. A lighthearted, silly slice-of-life story. It's absurd for the sake of being absurd. The author is writing on a whim without thinking too hard, so feel free to read without thinking too hard, either.
3. This is not an insectoid world. It's an alternate modern setting, and the top is the only mosquito around. He can turn into a human, and the story makes very little logical sense.
4. When the top turns into a mosquito and buzzes, the bottom really does find him annoying, so the top gets swatted a lot. His actual hit points are only -1, so proceed with caution if that bothers you.
5. Some of the top's traits resemble those of vampires. Our good mosquito used to be picky and drank only animal blood, but after tasting the bottom's blood, he was hooked and wanted another round OvO.
6. There's a skin-tone contrast, chocolate meets milk, and a size difference.
7. One-on-one, both are each other's only partner, happy ending.
Blurb saved on 2025/5/16.
It won't be very long. I don't know when I'll start writing it, and it might get bumped up the queue. The blurb may be revised again before the story officially begins~
Theme: Eat well and remember fire safety.
