The Ghost Bus in Springtime

Xia Cheng is a shy girl. Because she's introverted, people around her often tell her, "You can't go on like this! You need to learn to be outgoing!"

Xia Cheng is troubled by this. She wants to fit in, too, but she always gets nervous and scared.

One day after school, Xia Cheng unexpectedly saved a "little mouse" from being eaten by a cat.

The mouse had no visible tail, and its paws were huge.

"Thank you. What's your name?" the little mouse asked.

"Xia Cheng."

"You don't seem very happy. How about this? To thank you, if we meet here again tomorrow, I'll make an exception and take you somewhere magical."

Somewhere magical?

Xia Cheng was curious, so she arrived very early the next day and waited on the lawn, feeling a little embarrassed.

She saw an orange-yellow bus. A mole was driving it, as tall as Xia Cheng, and waving excitedly.

"Hop on, Xia Cheng!"

Xia Cheng got on the bus and noticed a boy sitting by the window, his body half-transparent. He turned his head, his expression always faint.

Xia Cheng soon learned that the bus was called the "Ghost Bus," and that it could take them through time to the future.

When they reached their first destination, the mole opened the bus doors and said, "Go on. Help your future selves wipe away their tears."

Help? The future? Wipe away tears?

What did any of that mean?

With excitement and apprehension, Xia Cheng stepped off the bus. What would be waiting for her...?
